I received these chairs within a few days of ordering them. Chair padding serves as a plus and should satisfy most people since it is made of quality material. Although they are not as comfortable to sit in as some chairs, the design makes them unique. In addition, I noticed that the chair's back design causes the seat to not completely sit flat. It has a slight rise which when sitting on it makes it quite uncomfortable as your back is not angled into the chair, but more straight up and your knees are slightly bent. It seems that everyone said these chairs were five stars, but to me they weren't. A review with four or five photos of these chairs on the review website shows the seat pad area on this chair is angled up and it is not as far back on the seat pad as most folding chairs, which makes it a bit uncomfortable or maybe it's just different than most folding chairs. The chairs are a replacement for some worn out Samsonite folding chairs that I bought from Lowes and they were more comfortable than the chairs I bought at Samsonite. Sadly, Lowes does not carry the Samsonite brand anymore or else I would have purchased The problem with buying furniture online is that you cannot try it out in person and then you have to return it, but many brick and mortar stores are disappearing, so you have less options to find something to try out locally before buying.

A family member of mine who can not sit anywhere else in his home but on a recliner chair/couch purchased this set. A chair broke underneath him as he was eating. About 350 pounds make up his weight. These chairs are used daily by him for his kitchen table and he is delighted to have them. As a result, he is able to sit with no worries at the table.
