Dutailier Erie 0590 Technogel Glider Chair with Ottoman

I was extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. I'm a 6' tall pregnant woman with a long torso who is 33 weeks pregnant. I was ecstatic when I read in the review that the glider reclines back and rocks and can support up to 300 pounds. I figured it would be wide and tall enough to support my height and wide hips. I'm not even close to my maximum weight. The item was delivered ahead of schedule, which was fantastic, and it was simple to put together. My husband had some trouble getting the screws into the glider and ottoman, but it looks great once it's put together, and I really like the colors. My hips and thighs pressed against both arm rests when I sat in the glider, which made gliding uncomfortable and painful. My thighs and hips rubbed in a different area even with my feet up on the ottoman, causing pain and discomfort; I'll be breastfeeding again for my second child, and the arm rests are too low for me to comfortably hold my newborn while she feeds. The chair's back is low enough that I'd need a pillow to keep my neck from bending all the way back and laying my head on top of the chair if I were to recline. I'll be returning the item and looking for a glider that fits my frame and height better.

I've been on the lookout for a good quality glider/ottoman that isn't too large. This glider has a really nice look to it. I was initially disappointed by how firm the seat cushion was when I first sat in the glider. That caught me off guard, so I contacted Dutailier's customer service. They responded quickly and informed me that it may take a day or two for the cushion to soften from shipping, but that if I was still unhappy, they would replace the cushions. It did soften a little, but I decided to keep the cushions because they will likely hold their shape longer and I like how cool they are. There is no catching or rubbing, and the glide is very smooth. I appreciate the ability to adjust the backrest to my preferred position. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would strongly suggest Dutailier gliders.

So either the company has gone downhill, or this is, as I said, some kind of bootleg product. . . plus it's missing pieces and broken! Dutailier was a fantastic brand, and I hope they haven't gone out of business! I'm looking forward to hearing how this is resolved! Be wary of the buyer!.

I really like the chair. It is necessary to improve the instructions. As per the instructions, there was no yellow sticker. br>Delivery needs to improve as well. For a 74-year-old, it's extremely difficult. Getting a heavy, awkward box from the outside to the inside for an elderly woman.

This chair is very easy to assemble and is well constructed; one of the selling points for me was the video demonstrating the foot rest that extends from the ottoman. I just received it today, and there was no foot rest in the ottoman. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or not. The video should be removed from the selling point if there is no foot rest. I'll wait to hear back from the customer before re-rating.

I'd like to return it, but it appears that the return period has passed. This chair irritates me. It's uncomfortable, the arms are at an awkward height, and it makes me cringe every time I sit in it.

I'm expecting my third child and needed something practical and comfortable to wear. I've had a lot of back pain while feeding my other two kids, so I'm looking forward to giving this one a try. It appears to be a winner from the start!.

Unfortunately, it was damaged when we received it; however, with a quick call through Amazon and a few emails to the company, the part was quickly replaced.
