This is a table that I would not buy. It's flimsy and insecure. To make the base more secure, we had to jimmy it. We ended up putting it in the garage to sell at the next garage sale.
It is not screwed in; rather, it is planted. It has a flimsy quality to it.

No, it isn't an excessively large base. We have two padded saddle stools that can be slid in as far as two inches from the center pole when not in use. Because you'll be farther away when you're wearing them, the fit is excellent, and the legs don't hit us when we sit. This table is fantastic!

It's sturdy, so we shouldn't have any problems, but it's nice that they offer a 30-day to 6-month warranty if you need a replacement part or anything, so if something went wrong due to the fit, we'd be able to contact them and have it fixed, giving us peace of mind. I use this table as my dining room table; it's reasonably sturdy, but it's covered in carpet, so I'm sure it loses some of its sturdiness and stability. I really like how the table turned out; it's exactly what I was looking for.

These tables were extremely useful in dispersing the crowd and allowing for easy mixing and mingling. This table has been in my possession for about ten months. While the construction is adequate for a $50 table with a laminate top, the finish is lacking. Because the base is light and wobbles easily, the stability isn't great. The one I got was a little warped at the base and never sat flush on the ground, allowing drinks to spill easily if it was accidentally bumped. Over the last ten months, the tiniest of bumps has resulted in a slew of broken glasses and bottles. To help stabilize it, I had to put it on carpet, but that doesn't completely solve the problem. I would not buy it again; instead, I would invest a little more money in a solid wood table top and a heavier base for stability.
In comparison to similar products, the price of the product is high. This table was purchased at the same time as another similar table, with the exception that the other table had a stronger design, was adjustable to the same height, and was made of high-quality materials (the top was covered with man-made materials). I didn't have to pay for shipping because the item is made of leather, the leg is made of chrome, and the footing is larger.
