The shelf is extremely attractive. However, the packaging and instructions are deserving of a one-star rating. br>br>The packaging was flimsy to begin with - Duct tape was used to cover everything, and it was extremely difficult to remove. It was a shabby box. When I got it, I looked at it as well, but the product was not damaged. br>br>The comments about the instructions being completely useless are correct. However, because it isn't a particularly difficult shelf, you should be able to figure it out simply by looking at the product image. Just make sure the wood's finished side is facing up. br>br>I also found it odd that the bottom board didn't come with predrilled holes.
I was hesitant at first to pay such a high price for a cart with no reviews, but I decided to take a chance. It ships from Asia, so it takes a while to arrive; once it does, assembly is simple but not intuitive; I built it from the bottom up only to realize later that I should have done the opposite (there are no instructions). Even so, with a few power tools, it only took about an hour. It's certainly preferable to paying $100 for "professional assembly. " br>It appears to be a fantastic product. I spent a couple of days looking for a cart on Amazon and was only satisfied with the appearance of this one. I knew what I was doing when I made my decision.
I adore the style and appearance, but there are a few important points to consider: br>1) The color is not what it appears to be. I expected a lighter wood color, but it turned out to be red/orange. It didn't go with the rest of our furniture. We decided to sand, stain, and coat it ourselves rather than dealing with the hassle of returning it (the packaging was terrible). There was a great deal of effort put into this. br>br>2) the instructions for putting it together are terrible. There isn't much to say about it. I figured it out and knew what to do, but my husband (who has ten years of carpentry experience) had to step in and decide which nails went where and when the tools included in the kit needed to be used. Overall, things weren't as simple as they appeared. br>br>3) A power drill is required. There are no pre-drilled holes (which makes no sense), so we needed a drill to drill holes so we wouldn't break the wood, and then we could use it to drill in the nails. br>br>Overall, this "easy buy" turned into multiple trips to Home Depot, more money spent, and a massive ordeal to assemble. I like how it looks now that we've finally found a color that goes with our furniture, but it would have been nice if we hadn't had to do so in the first place. Although the wood is sturdy and attractive, I had hoped for more for the price.
Amazing quality and product! I had to put it together in two hours. It's a snap to put together. You'll only need a screwdriver because you'll be creating screw holes while screwing. I found that assembling the pieces first and then screwing everything together worked best for me. Longer screws should be used in the inferior piece of wood (use 16 and 4 will be left unused), and shorter screws should be used in the remaining holes (32 remaining holes vs 35 short screws), as someone suggested. So, in the end, you should have 7 screws left over that you won't use to replace the wheel ring or whatever it's called. The included tools are also not necessary. With just your hands and a screwdriver, you can complete any task.

If you need to carry something heavy but still want to look cute, this cart is a great option.
Bubble wrap and about a hundred yards of clear packing tape were used to wrap each piece. Just unwrapping everything took me an hour. The wood is sturdy and attractive, and the pipes are well-made and of good quality. Although the instructions could be improved, they are not difficult to follow. This piece should be easy to put together if you have basic household maintenance skills. It's very sturdy, and it doesn't even shake the glasses on the bottom shelf when I turn my Vitamix blender to 10. This is the piece of furniture to get if you want something sturdy and solid that will hold up under real-world use. I'm glad I chose this piece over the others I was considering.
