It arrives in two crates and a box with glass shelves at your doorstep. Our hutch was placed on the buffet, and the glass shelves were installed by the shippers who delivered it.

What is the width of the side cabinets and middle drawers?

40 inches wide by 18 inches long

In the hutch, there are glass shelves, and in the buffet, there is wood.

Is this the item's appearance, or is there a separate piece underneath the china cabinet that can be purchased separately?

This is a lovely china cabinet, but the glass in both doors is broken; the company provided me with a credit so that I could replace the glass.

It's a lovely place, and it's very relaxing. I have never seen an error or a problem with this Chateau de ville buffet since I bought it. Good products and design are important, as well.
