My ScotchGuards have never been used, and they still look brand new. If anything is spilled or dropped on the seats, I simply wipe them down with a damp rag.
They'd scratch, so technically no.
Although comfort is largely a matter of personal preference, I can tell you that I suffer from lower back pain and find most dining chairs to be uncomfortable. For me, these are superior to the majority. The backrest has a nice angle to it, and the cushions are firm enough that you don't sink through to the wood. If you're unsure, order one set first and then order more if you're still not sure.

Simple to put together. Despite the fact that they were significantly less expensive than similar chairs, I purchased 4 (8 chairs) to replace chairs on an Oak set that had broken over the years. I was blown away by the quality of the product. The delivery was completed before the estimated time window (2 days vs. 3 days) even started (2 days vs. 3 days). The quoted time frame is seven days. br>Each chair took 5 minutes to assemble with 10 screws, yielding a sturdy and comfortable chair. The most difficult part of the project was figuring out that cutting the string with the Ashley product description is much easier than removing the staple, and that to get into the parts bag affixed to each seat, simply cut through the 2-inch strip of fabric. Bags with multiple layers
- Rubber-coated screws are also available. Inside a plastic bag attached to each seat, they're banded together by size. br>- The locking mechanism is already installed on each screw. standard washers are already installed, so you won't have to rummage for them. br>- A dot of blue loc-tite is applied to each screw. tite, so it should only need to be tightened once in a while. br>Highly recommended for those looking to replace mid-shafts. Chairs made of dark wood.
I bought these chairs and got them yesterday for a good price. I was hesitant to order chairs online because of the brand name, but the name gave me more confidence. br>br>Assembly was a breeze. The instructions were easy to follow, and the steps themselves were not difficult. The seat is held to the legs by ten bolts in total. They were kind enough to put the compression and regular washers on the bolts for you, which cut down on the time it took to get everything set up. The allen wrench provided was the only source of pain (literally); I assembled eight chairs in total, each with ten bolts, and my fingers were very sore by the end. Use a pair of gloves if you're smarter than I am! br>br>The first pair of chairs took me over an hour to make, mostly because one of the chairs had a couple holes that didn't line up correctly and there was a learning curve. After that, it took about 35 minutes to complete each pair of chairs. So, for eight chairs, the majority of the assembly time is spent tightening bolts, which takes just under three hours. I'd tighten them, then go back and retighten them a second time; fortunately, none of the other chairs had the hole alignment issue. br>br>Unlike others, I did not have the wobble problem. I sat in a couple of the chairs on a hard wood floor to see if this was a problem, and there was no wobble. I'm about 165 pounds, but I think it'd be fine for someone heavier. br>br>The padding is comfortable, not overly so, but certainly more so than a hard wood seat. The only minor quibble I have is that the padding appears to be dusty to me, but this is simply due to the fabric's sheen. br>br>Our family had a lovely dinner around the dining room table, which now had new chairs. If the chairs hold up over time, this was an excellent purchase!.
The assembly is simple, and there are some nice touches, such as a dowel and screw combination that connects the seat to the back, which should last a long time. One important tip is to make sure you have a 3/16" hex driver on hand before starting, or the assembly will be painful. The packaging is simple, and assembly takes only 5 minutes. With a hex driver, it takes 10 minutes per chair. Because the feet lack nylon bumpers, you'll need to add something to protect your wood floors. After putting it together last night, I sat in one of the chairs and read for 30 minutes. The seat is medium in size and the foam is denser than most. In a year or so, I'll update this review, but first impressions are excellent.
These chairs, on the other hand, are of poor quality and finish. I placed an order for two sets of four chairs. The tops of two of the chairs were extremely rough. The stain was blotchy due to lack of final sanding. I had to return the remaining box. Where the brass barrel (which accepts the bolts) entered the wood, there were cracks. When I tightened the bolt, one leg split, so I lubricated the rest of the bolts to prevent this from happening again. I got a new set of chairs (I'm keeping the first two chairs, despite my reservations). The replacement chairs were even worse than the ones that had been ordered. Scratches, stain drips and spatters Most chairs are uneven, as has been mentioned by others. They were evened out with the use of felt pads. I'm on the lookout for a new replacement. These chairs do not appear to be suitable for someone who is particularly heavy. It's more like a person weighing up to 175 lbs. The flaws and shoddy craftsmanship are a letdown. Before these chairs are shipped out, whoever is in charge of overseeing quality control must be replaced. I would give these chairs a 5 star rating, but I can't because of the sloppiness and lack of attention to detail. Ashley Furniture needs to step up their game, or else they should rename themselves "Trashley Furniture. ".
Overall, they're very nice; I like them. The bolts were already fitted with the appropriate washers and each group was rubber banded together, which I thought was a nice touch. Examine where the legs will be placed on the seats. Under the cover, there could be a staple(s) in the area where the leg will sit, causing the level to be off (wobble). The seat should be level with the chair back brace to which it is bolted at the end. If you don't, you might experience some wobble. Check leg lengths; if one is slightly longer, use it on the opposite side of the staple(s). I recommend assembling the seat upside down on your lap. If you don't have a metric ratchet, a 3/16th will suffice, as the provided hex key is a bit of a pain to use - However, do not overtighten. Assemble everything so that the screws are just tight enough to spin the washers. To level things out, stand the chair on its legs and wiggle in it for a moment. Take a seat. Make sure there is no wobble. If there are none, place it back on your lap and gradually tighten it in a crisscrossing pattern. Remove one of the front legs that is causing the wobble and replace it with a cut piece of cardboard. place to sit It should be taken care of by reassemble.
