Don't believe everything you've been told. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 220 pounds, and this mattress is so soft that you sink into it, sleep crooked all night, and wake up in pain. Even my wife, who is 5'8'' and 130 lbs and has been looking for a soft mattress topper, said the same thing. Otherwise, the product and materials are of high quality, but not for us. I'd buy Viscosoft again, but I'm not sure if they have a firmer mattress.
It's been less than a year since I bought this mattress. I got it as a temporary replacement because I can feel every single spring in our current bed. It's getting to that point again; it was extremely comfortable when I first got it, but it only got worse over time. I'm in the market for a new bed as well as a mattress topper. It's not worth it for the price.
Yes, it follows the contours of my body. I'm 5'9" tall and weigh 130 pounds. I, too, suffer from back problems. I get a good night's sleep now, with no aches when I wake up and no need to get up several times during the night as I used to. Mine has a faint odor, but nothing that I can't get rid of. It does not have an unpleasant odor.
Ours is being returned, and Amazon has issued a complete refund. They advised us to dispose of it ourselves because returning it was difficult and they couldn't resell it for sanitary reasons.

After only a few months of bliss, our Serta pillowtop mattress broke down and sunk in the middle. We had to get creative with toppers because ALL mattresses these days are terrible quality, regardless of brand or reviews, and nothing is changing, so we had to take a long road to get here. My husband is looking for a mattress that is both firm and comfortable. I'm unable to sleep on hard surfaces. Neck pain affects both of us. This topper appears to be oddly suited to both of us, despite our back issues. br>br>I watched their video, which was informative (and the guy talking about it did an AMAZING job, it was very interesting). All of the distinct characteristics appeal to me. If anything changes, I will update this review without fail, because the entire bedding situation in this country (and the lack of quality or workmanship) is one of my pet peeves. I'm fed up with being taken advantage of. This is unlikely to be the case here, as there appears to be a sense of pride in the work. br>br>3/02/21 UPDATE: We recently stopped using ours and will most likely purchase another of the same model. We discovered that ALL memory foam degrades (you won't see it, but you'll feel it in body aches), though most take 6 months to a year to notice the effects; this one took a little longer. Another thing we've been doing recently is watching videos on YouTube about: removing the inner workings of our regular spring mattress (they say the problem is almost always the memory foam layers) and replacing it with a "Sleep On Latex" medium firm 3" LATEX pad, enclosed with a mattress case, then getting another latex topper to actually use as a topper (this one in the SOFTEST rating (which is NOT soft when it comes to latex, trust me, get the soft for one on top) This is a mattress set that you will have for the rest of your life. That takes care of the problem of no good premade mattress at any price. Being referred to as "Princess" is a title that is given to women who As "the Pea," I still prefer to have this memory foam topper on top, but it will only need to be replaced every couple of years (while the latex ones will remain a stable foundation). It appears to be of good quality and is extremely comfortable to wear. I ordered the Queen size and am very pleased with it; it feels luxurious. It has a medium firm plushy feel and is dense and heavy. When you roll over, you don't feel like you're sinking into it, and you're not trying to climb out of a deep hole, either; it's just a simple roll over. I do have a super firm Bowles Mattress HD that can be flipped over and used on both sides, and I wanted to customize it to my liking. I started with a firm latex and thought that would suffice, but it didn't have enough cush to make me feel like I was in a cloud, so I got this and layered it on top of that, and now I'm in heaven. So far, I haven't experienced any aches or pains in my lower back or anywhere else. I also have a medium firm cloud temppedic bed that is very comfortable when you sleep in it, but I would wake up in PAIN in my lower back, so I switched to this bed. So far, I give this mattress topper two thumbs up! br>br>(I'd also like to point out that this has no odor, doesn't slide around on my bed, and doesn't sleep hot like my Temperpedic Cloud does. ) I would give this topper more than five stars if I could! Topping for a mattress that is extremely comfortable. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to sleep on a plush mattress. This is one of the books I'm glad I ordered. This is the type you're looking for. I have a memory foam mattress that I've had for a long time, and the top memory foam layer was too firm for me, so instead of buying a new mattress, I decided to add this on top. c In any case, the top layer is what matters. In the past, my research has told me that anything less than a 3" thickness and 3lb density should never be used. This hat was perfect. br>br>The mattress has straps on the corners to secure it to your mattress and prevent it from slipping off the bed. It has a removable cover that can be machine washed, which is a nice feature. Even though this is a gel-infused pillow, I still sleep warm, but that's just because my hot flashes start regardless of where I am. br>br>There was a slight memory foam factory odor at first, but it went away in 1 to 2 days. I was able to sleep on it within hours of it being opened because it was not very strong. My mattress is thicker as a result, but the sheets continue to fit. There was nothing unusual about the sheets; they were just ordinary sheets. To get on my bed, I have to climb a little, but I am also short. br>br>It took me a while to get used to the wonderful softness that envelopes you once you sit or lie down on it. This is something I'm glad I bought. If you enjoy sleeping on a cloud, this is the place for you! I like how it hugs my body while I'm lying down and conforms to my body curves, as opposed to the firm mattress beneath it. I wish I had purchased it earlier.
