It is, indeed, made in the United States of America. The toppers are fabricated and packaged in Texas, while the foam is manufactured in Kansas.
I've been sleeping on it for two nights now, and I'm so hot that I feel like I have to move every few seconds to avoid overheating, so I fidgeted all night and got very little sleep. My wife suffers from Raynod's disease, so she is always cold, and she overheats in the same way every night! We both awoke with sore muscles from fidgeting and overheating, as well as dehydration-induced headaches. It was both extremely comfortable and extremely hot to lay on because it simply reflected and amplified your own body heat. I was also extremely itchy after only the first night, and after the second, I'm begging my wife to let us get rid of it, even if it means sleeping on a lumpy, coil-worn mattress, just so I can get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time out of sheer exhaustion. It's such a shame, because it's so soft, but it's just WAY, WAY too damned hot!
Personally, I believe it is of medium firmness. It doesn't quite make you "sink" into it. It is, however, softer than sleeping on a firm mattress. We bought it for that reason. Because my husband's mattress was too firm for him, this topper made it ideal.
The weight of the topper varies depending on the size; a twin topper weighs 7. 7 LBs, 1 LBs, Twin XL Full is ten pounds, Queen is twelve pounds, and King and Cal King are fifteen pounds.

After sleeping comfortably on a bed with a two-inch topper at an Airbnb rental, I decided to order this three-inch deep mattress topper. It was tightly rolled up and felt frozen solid when it arrived (January in New England), but in my warm living room, it gradually expanded to its full size. I couldn't believe how much more comfortable my bed was (the mattress isn't old, but it's fairly firm). ) I had a great night's sleep and didn't have any shoulder pain. In the morning, I felt totally relaxed and pain-free! This purchase has exceeded my expectations.
I've been sleeping in a Sleep Number bed for ten years, but my back has been killing me in the mornings for the past few months. I lift a lot at work and was afraid I'd hurt my back, but the problem was that it only hurt in the morning. Because it was a sleep number, I never thought it was my bed. So, what the heck, I said, nothing to lose, I decided to give some topper a try. And boy, was I correct. My first night was still a little painful in the morning, but it was nothing compared to what it had been. It was as if I was sleeping on clouds. It's only been a week and I'm still not in any pain. For the love of God, it's just a topper. I would like to express my gratitude to Sure2sleep for restoring my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS.
That one had been airing out for a month before I had to return it due to a strong chemical odor that would not go away. This one is made in the United States and does not have a foul odor when first opened. I was overjoyed at the prospect of a fresh start. My son's mattress was far too firm for him, so I ordered another.
I immediately noticed that it was torn and damaged from the factory after letting it expand. It doesn't appear to be ripped and torn out of the box, which isn't a big deal.
I recently purchased a new mattress and box spring that are significantly larger. I prefer a firmer mattress, but the one I got was like sleeping on a board, so instead of exchanging it, I decided to try memory foam to see if it helped (my previous bed had a memory foam topper). And, oh my goodness, it's like a whole new world! So much more comfort! The bed is still firm, so there's no bouncing around, but the memory foam adds a squishy comfort. I'm very pleased with this purchase. And, as other reviewers have stated, there is no strange chemical odor.
The quality of this surprised both my wife and me. We unrolled it and set it aside for about an hour; some speculated that it might smell, but it didn't. It 'grows' into shape and fits the queen mattress perfectly. When I asked if we could use a mattress heater with it, I was told that we could, as long as it was UL Approved. We don't need the heater now that we've been sleeping on it for a week. It's so comfortable that my wife compared it to sleeping on a marshmallow, which isn't quite accurate, but you get the idea.
There was no odor, and the thickness was perfect for my requirements. My shoulder pain (I sleep on my side) didn't seem to improve much. ) but it's extremely comfortable in general. If the "cool gel" part of the description had been true, I would have given it five stars. It doesn't appear to be cooling at all, but neither did the last one I had that made the same claim. So far, it's been a great experience!.
It takes some time to get used to. It's as if you're stuck in the foam, but it's still comfortable. Rolling over is a bit more difficult. If you want to move or flip it, you should definitely get a cover for it so it doesn't shred.
