It was purchased for our sofa sleeper and has proven to be a hit with our visitors.
Yes, but it depends on the amount of liquid spilled and how quickly you clean it up.
3 to 4 inches, I'd say. So far, we're very happy with it; our mattress is much more comfortable. So far, the topper hasn't flattened out, and the bottom fitted sheet has done a good job of keeping it in place. Our mattress is too thick for the corner straps to work.
I simply threw it in the washing machine as a single item and then air dried it.

DO NOT BE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY E This should be handled as if it were a rolled-up mattress. That is to say, you must take it out of the package and leave it to sit for 36 hours; don't be impatient and throw it on your bed as soon as you get it; it may seem pointless, but it isn't. It needs time to expand, and if you leave it out for 36 hours, you'll notice a significant difference in size. You may think you can just throw it in the dryer or let it "fluff" for a few hours, but you'll be glad you waited when you see the difference. Most of the negative reviews I've seen for this product are from people who didn't follow the instructions and let it fluff for 36 hours, or who didn't fluff it on a regular basis (every 3-months). 4 weeks in a non-heated dryer. br>*update* original still holding up nicely after 4 months of use, just bought a second one for another bed in the house, after trying a different topper and being very disappointed with the other brand, this one is probably the best. It's one of the best options available. This is the best choice if you want a fluffy, plush, comfortable mattress topper; most other brands are more flat and "firm," so if that's what you want, go with them; if you want the most fluffy option, go with this one.
This topper is extremely deceptive. I was overjoyed when I first received it. Thick, fluffy, and absolutely fantastic. It looked great on top of my too-tall tee-shirt. I was impressed by how well it fit all the way to the edges of the firm memory foam mattress. Every night, I used to look forward to snuggling in my cloud-like bed. Things changed a few weeks later, just as the return period was about to expire. The fluff became flattened. I tried shaking it, rotating it, but nothing worked; the size also changed; perhaps the fabric stretched, but it now hangs over the mattress by a good three inches on all sides. " This means that any remaining fluff settles in the overhanging edges, where it is useless. Through this topper, I can once again feel my hard memory foam mattress. br>I was extremely dissatisfied with this purchase and the meager 1 month of enjoyment I received from it.
I looked into mattress pads for a long time before deciding on this one. I didn't want the compressible foam, but I needed to cover a regular mattress with a pillow top. The amount of batting in this is exactly the same as one or two comforters under the sheets on your bed. There is some cushioning, but no real padding. The elastic corners, as others have pointed out, are useless and immediately pop off the corners. br>br>I know you want this to be the one because the price is right and the manufacturer's pictures show it to be thick and padded with a big wide gusset, but this isn't it. In real life, the batting does not fluff out as much to fill the gusset as it does in the photo. You'll put it on your bed and wait for it to expand after shipping before realizing you were a sucker like the rest of us and won't be able to return it. Save money by sleeping on top of a few blankets.
The level of comfort is actually surprising. It helps me to tolerate my hard Ikea mattress. It's about 3 inches long, and it compresses over time when you lay on it; it feels like a marshmallow when you first get it. It settles in and feels more like a pillow top after a few uses, which I like. I didn't realize how much of a difference it made until I tried to nap on my boyfriend's mattress (which is the same type as mine) and couldn't get comfortable. If you're on the fence about purchasing it, I strongly advise you to do so.
Over the age of ten. We are too cheap to buy a new one, even though we would like to get a nice one. We won't be able to sleep on top of it. We did have a memory foam topper on it, but I'm not a big fan of memory foam. However, with the addition of this pillow top mattress pad, I feel as if I'm sleeping on a real hotel pillow top mattress. A game like this- changer. I took photos to demonstrate that it extends beyond the mattress's edges, which is a good thing! This mattered a great deal to me. We have sheets that will fit over a thick mattress and will cover the toppers as well. Try a pillow top mattress topper if you have fond memories of sleeping on a luxurious hotel mattress and enjoy the sensation of sleeping on a cloud or butter.
