There is fabric on the front of the headboard, but I ordered the grey one so I don't know the color of the white one.
Although my son thought it wouldn't be stable enough to put just a leg on it, he did realize that it would be used with an adjustable bed. Thus, the head of the bed would be lifted while the child leans on it. Although he had difficulty mounting it to the wall, he was able to do it easily. If you use it with a bed that will stay put while holding the legs in place, then you might be able to get by with it.
After a week or so, it suffered from an unpleasant smell, but it has since disappeared

I'm all set. Honesty is the best policy This is a biased review from a father of two with handy skills. In addition to the tufted white leather headboard, my fourteen year old daughter was firm in insisting on having leather drapes. I think this will do. Even though I was unsure at first what should come first when I looked at the instructions, the pictures were very clear. It was easier for me to attach the headboard to the boards, as opposed to the boards making up the frame and then the headboard. I love the headboard because it's white, bright, nicely tufted, and for my daughter it's breathtaking. A solid board made from wood is used. As much as I hate to admit it, but I had no problem fitting the hardware into the supports and the This headboard is well made, and it was delivered quickly. Despite some packaging and shipping issues, the entire package was delivered without any issues.
I'm going to leave you with one last note. There is an aspect of this headboard that some might not like the boards attach at the base with two bolts on either side. If you have a low plain metal bed frame and are using a box spring, then, the headboard sits high above the frame with low fixing points. You do have to take into account the wobble factor. For example, if your bed is not that close to the wall, your headboard will move or bend slightly. We have my daughter's bed pushed against the wall, so I don't have to worry about this. If you put two healthy adults in the bed together, I'm not sure how long this would last or how loud it would be.
