I discovered small clusters of young bed bugs in the upholstery of the head board a few days later during an inspection, and I recently had a professional treatment service confirm that the head board was the source of the bed bug infestation. As a result of this experience, I will never buy furniture from Amazon again.
I always read reviews before purchasing items on Amazon, and I try to leave reviews for others to use to help them make decisions. As an example, I have a tall bed frame that I purchased from Amazon. To make it work, we needed to get longer bolts, but that was no big deal.

Simply make sure you have the proper bed frame to mount it on, or purchase some universal bed frame brackets along with it so you don't have to wait to finish the installation.

I wanted a headboard that would look good behind our adjustable Temperpedic beds, but not too high because our bed is in front of the windows. This turned out to be a very nice-looking headboard that fits well and doesn't obscure our plantation shutters too much!.
When I first opened the package, the headboard itself was in excellent condition, but there were no bolts or washers to attach it to my bed. My husband was able to find working bolts and washers, and it was attached to my bed and looks fantastic. I called Amazon and they refunded 60% of what I paid, which I thought was very fair and I am pleased with the product.
It was simple to put together all by myself, and it didn't have a bad odor out of the box like some people have claimed. I did have one nailhead come off in the corner because I accidentally bumped it against the corner of a dresser, but that was my fault; just be careful of the edges when putting it together so it doesn't bump or snag on anything. Someone with more patience could probably figure out how to put it back in, but I didn't see the point in doing so. I'd suggest it. This is a great neutral that complements the size of my bed (I have a queen). While I'm sleeping, it doesn't wobble or feel as if it'll fall off.
This headboard has a tall profile. It has no odor (I had to return a previous headboard due to a terrible odor) and looks very nice. Our bed base does not attach to it (this is the fault of the bed base, not the headboard), but the mattress holds it up against the wall just fine. I also used a few command strips to keep it from slipping away from the wall. It still feels very sturdy after a month.
