Since this is my second Seward trunk, I knew what I would get in terms of quality Although its planes are almost like a very thick mat board or thin masonite, they're still strong enough to support a person sitting on top, but I wouldn't recommend having it carry heavy items over long periods of time. Metal accents and plastic wheels are both used. is sturdy enough to hold up to being rolled and moved around (back and forth from school), but the handle is plastic and I am afraid it will break the first time through. As it is small, it is not the most convenient to roll, but at least it rolls. In terms of size, the trunk is true to size, but the wheels take up a small amount of the interior, so laying things flat inside isn't possible if the wheels span the entire interior (I use this to house materials for model-making. Several materials besides mat board, wood, and tools are presented). On the whole, it's what I expected, and does what it's supposed to.

My dorm room was stolen so I bought it to prevent that from happening. There isn't the best locking mechanism -- you can simply use scissors to dip into the indents to turn it -- but I don't mind! I'm using another lock on it, which no one could get into unless they had a sledgehammer nearby. There's nothing like a sturdy box when you are trying to sit down, provided you don't fall on it like a rock. is happening to someone who weighs 230lbs. because there are some rivets poking out from the inside, I gave it four stars. It only takes a little bit of gentleness or some tape to fix this! There are no rivets to worry about. I think it's an amazing product and I know it will last a very long time.

I wrote a review, though. As this unit has a lot of space and is pretty large, I would not recommend taking it on a journey but it could be used in your home as decoration. You can use a regular lock that can be bought separately inside the lock box you will find two little keys they are not meant to go all the way in the lock that comes with the box but will insert just enough to turn the keyhole you could.

This is what I am using to store Hallmark ornaments, and I wanted something sturdy to store them in that would be sturdy enough to keep them safe (not plastic or cardboard). This certainly meets my needs! I doubt this will stop thieves if it is what you are looking for.

There is no way to open it, which is the only reason I downvoted. In order to get the button to work, I must wait several minutes. Because of this, I am always sore thumbed when I need to sneak in.

I had only one complaint the metal was bent/crushed slightly on two corners and the paper lining was peeking up on one side of the enclosure. were discovered when the package was delivered. We made it for a pretty good price. In fact, it's a pretty solid purchase for its price if you use it for light duty applications.
