It can easily support a king-size quilt that has been handcrafted.
It's from Thailand, and it's sturdy, but the staining is uneven, but it's only on the rungs, so it's not visible when the quilts are on it.
Also, if you scroll down further in the listing, you'll see the dimensions.
As you can see, the crosspiece is curved. It's not at my house to check because I bought it as a gift for my sister, who is a quilter. The unit itself appears to be quite sturdy, but I don't believe the bottom slats provide a large enough flat surface for folded blankets or pillows to be stored.

This is something you should not buy. If I could, I'd give it a zero-star rating. Materials are poor, the quality is poor, the design is poor, and the assembly is difficult. For example, the instructions state that you should screw the screws through the end pieces into the rods that contain pre-drilled holes with the included Allan wrench. drilled holes for the screws to go through and hold the pieces together Only two of the rods' holes were sufficiently created to allow a screw to be inserted, despite each rod having holes on both ends. My attempts to use the Allan wrench, which is literally the dumbest tool to use when putting furniture together, stripped the remaining screws. Why not just include real screws that require the buyer to use a Phillips or a flat-head screwdriver to install? a screwdriver with a head? I've put together a lot of furniture in the past, including IKEA pieces and ready-to-assemble kits. Menards and Lowe's are two stores where you can get pieces for yourself. I've never encountered a product with such poor quality as this stupid quilt rack. It was a waste of money and time to try to put it together. The most satisfying moment from this terrible purchase came when I broke it apart after the fourth screw was stripped in my attempts to assemble this POS, and I threw the pieces into our campfire.
This blanket rack had a lot of potential for me to fall in love with it. It's taking the place of an old brass one that I decided to give away. This time, I chose a warm wood to work with. It's a lovely walnut color. This rack would have been lovely if it hadn't had a few flaws. br>br>For starters, there were several flaws in the wood itself. I'm not talking about minor flaws here. It shouldn't have been allowed to pass quality control in the first place. Second, putting it together was a little difficult. The pre- Pilot holes should've been bigger when they were drilled deeper. The Allen wrench and twisting the screws into the wood have left my wrists aching. Finally, it wobbled and was unbalanced after I finished putting it together. Now, I've assembled a lot of kit furniture and assisted my husband with numerous home remodeling projects, so I'm not unqualified. In hindsight, I should have grabbed my drill instead of following their instructions. I got lazy there, but this is something I shouldn't have to do. br>br>Finally, I'd like to mention that- This isn't included in my 2-year plan. a rating of 5 stars is the fact that the rack is much larger than I had anticipated. I should've been paying more attention to the measurements. On the other hand, this is a sturdy (if wobbly) rack for hanging heavier quilts and comforters. I had to move it because it was too big for the space I had planned to put it in. Again, this was my fault for not paying more attention, and it has nothing to do with my rating. Just a little something to think about. br>br>Overall, I decided it wasn't worth it to take it apart and return it for the price. Because it's now in a spare room rather than my living room, where I had planned to put it- I won't be concerned with its flaws.
the allen key After a few rotations with the included allen wrench, this became extremely difficult. So grab a grippy gardening glove to hold the dowel and keep it from rotating (and peeling your skin off your palms) and a multi-tool to make the job a lot easier. The allen wrench has thick rubber/soft silicon sides that make it easy to grip, hold, and turn. Using that flimsy single allen wrench was quite difficult on my hand. However, once done this way, it is very stable and should not wiggle loose, as the screws are quite large for the dowels' pre-drilled holes.
Assembling this should have been a piece of cake, but it wasn't! I can put anything together, and I do, but this was a real pain in the neck. The included tool cannot be used by anyone other than a weight lifter to install the screws. Why? This is primarily due to the fact that the pre-existing The drilled holes aren't the right size! I tried using different screws I had on hand, but that didn't work either. So I dug around until I found a 7/32 drill bit (which I'm sure most people have lying around—NOT—and 1/4 is too large, just FYI). The only thing that makes me happy is that it stands straight and does not wobble now that I've finally finished putting it together. The finish, as previously stated, was shoddy but serviceable. It is larger than expected, but I don't mind, and it will fit nicely against the wall, which is exactly what I was looking for. It may have been worth $20, but not more than twice that, which is what I paid. So buy it with extreme caution and make a list of all the issues. Best of luck!.
Following the success of my previous quilt rack (which was also a DIY project), I decided to make a new one. When the required piece) finally broke down and couldn't be glued back together, I gave in and ordered this as a replacement. This rack is slightly larger and much more sturdy than my previous one. It's not bad-looking at all - Although the design is simple, the majority of it is covered by your quilts, so who cares? It was very simple to put together, though having your own Allen wrench that is somewhat ergonomic will definitely help. I also suggest securing the plugs over the screw heads with a rubber mallet. My two heavy quilts are securely held in place by this rack. I'm confident it will last a long time, and I'm very pleased with it!.
