Mindi wood, a fast-growing, sustainable wood, was used to make these blanket ladders.
Smooth!
Hello, you can hang a damp towel on the ladder; the ladders are unfinished, so the finish will not be ruined. Thank you for your inquiry!
It doesn't have to be all the way against the wall. Perhaps just a 12" will suffice.

After my roomba shattered a mirror in my living room, I've been looking for something to fill the empty space. (It was my fault; I was trying out the mirror to see if I liked it, so it wasn't hung up, and then I mindlessly turned on the roomba, which was obviously a BAD IDEA! 😅). Anyway, I was thinking about shelves, but we already have some shelving to the right of here, so I didn't want to go overboard. Then there was the blanket ladder, which was the ideal solution! Up close, you can see how it was carved, and it's quite lovely. And now I've got a place to put our blankets! Just what we needed to fill this small void on the wall! <3.
This ladder was purchased to be used on a hardwood floor. However, this ladder is made of cylindrical dowels that are not angled for leaning against a wall (I can see how the shag would keep the ladder from moving on carpet, but not on hardwood). Fortunately, we knew someone who had an electric saw and could quickly cut the bottoms to an angle that would allow them to sit firmly and flatly on the floor. After that, I went out and bought some non-alcoholic beverages. To avoid paint scratching, slip adhesive felt/rubber pads on the bottom and white adhesive felt on the top, where the ladder meets the wall, because it still moves a little when taking blankets in and out.
This ladder appeals to me greatly. It appears to be strong enough to support my largest blanket. I also like how smooth it is, as it does not snag or splinter knitted throws like the barn wood ladders do. It's rustic enough to appear traditional while also being streamlined enough to appear contemporary, so it'll go with any decor. I deducted one star because the ladder is unfinished, which isn't stated clearly in the description. I'd be wary of using it as a wet towel because it could fade or cause mildew. To preserve its natural beauty, I'm going to apply a clear coat to mine.
It's not often that you find a piece that is both functional and beautiful, but this seemingly simple ladder pulls the room together and gives it a designer look by simply adding your favorite throw blankets. This is a purchase you will not be sorry for.
This ladder arrived in excellent condition and was well packaged for shipping. It's a lovely piece that can be adapted to any style of decor. Minimalist (Scandinavian/mid-century) furniture appeals to me. farmhouse with a touch of the nineteenth century). Everything in my small home must serve a purpose, and this one does! The ladder can be used to store blankets, but as the seasons change, I can see it being put to other creative uses. This is an excellent work of art. I would strongly advise anyone looking for functional decor with personality to purchase this item.
I'm so glad I came across this book on Amazon. I read all of the reviews and they were all positive; it's well made, sturdy, and has a smooth finish (no splinters). It's also ready to use right out of the box because it's fully assembled. I'm 100% pleased with my purchase.
My purchase has made me so happy! I searched for a long time for the perfect blanket ladder and am very pleased with the one I purchased. It is ideal for my home. The size is ideal, and I adore the design and smooth finish!.
