The rods can be removed, but I'm not sure the rack would stand upright and not tip backward if they were.
I didn't measure it, and I'm not sure if the product description mentioned the height. However, I can tell you that I hung a full/queen size bedspread quilt over the middle bar after folding it. While hanging from the middle bar, the quilt wasn't even close to touching the ground.
Back to back, the rack measures 33 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 15 inches deep. In the front, three bars tier down to a height of 25 inches. It's a lovely rack, and I adore it!
It's not black in my house. It's a dark bronze/brown color that's really nice.

This quilt rack has made my life a lot easier. It has a nice appearance and is very durable. It was slightly uneven on the hard floor until I covered it with blankets, after which it was fine; the bottom cross bar was a little difficult to install. I'm likely to place a second order.
(I guess racks aren't as popular as they once were, because I couldn't find one that I liked!) )br>br>After doing some research, I came up with this- Despite the fact that it isn't my personal style. Due to the negative reviews, I was a little skeptical, but mine came together beautifully and is very sturdy. On it, there is only one king-size quilt folded in half and then folded in half again, as shown in the photos. (For the time being, I only need it to hold one quilt, but it has three bars for other blankets and throws if you need to store them as well. ) It's a good match for king-size bedding. br>br>With the allen wrench tool and screws included, it assembles in minutes. For ease of use, all of the pieces and parts are labeled. All of the components are made of tubular metal. br>br>I believe you are getting a good rack for the money, one that will last a long time with normal use. Enjoy!.
They are a lovely addition to our bedroom. It was simple to put them together, and I had no issues with them being shaky. I started with the bottom rod, partially inserting the screws on both sides of each bar and alternating between gradually tightening them and checking for a good fit.
The cross tubes that hold the pieces together have threaded ends that have been poorly welded. The spot welds are small and weak, and they aren't lined up straight. When the nut was tightened, one of the threaded ends broke away from the rod. The threaded end of the nut broke off after only a small amount of torque was applied. I'm not sure how well this unit will hold together over time, but it looks good and the quilts look great on it. I was able to repair the rod so that it could be used again. However, I shouldn't have to buy a new unit to fix it.
Nope. Nope. Today I received my package. It's simple to assemble. br>br> However. On three of the four legs, it is balanced. As a result, it sways back and forth. It's also crookedly constructed. This is extremely depressing. Will be coming back. br>br>.
for my blankets and/or my numerous throws blankets. I received it in two days, much sooner than expected, put it together in a matter of minutes, and am very pleased with it. It's big enough to fit my king-size comforter and all of my blankets and throws. I purchased a basket for my comforter set, which means I now have two blankets. It can hold three throws, with room for one more. It's light enough to move around; all you have to do now is find the right spot for it. Is wide and tall at the same time. I am very pleased with my purchase - It's also extremely level.
Delivered this afternoon; I purchased two and have only put one together. Quick and easy to assemble, and I liked the idea that the hardware was separated and in little self-locking plastic bags, so I didn't have to try and get the staple out or tear open (these small things make a difference). I was able to fit six full-size quilts on it, and it turned out beautifully. I purchased one for my daughter to go with the quilts I made her, and I believe she will enjoy it. I'm placing another order for one more to go with the other quilts I have.
