Because the quilt rack has two slots in the back, it must be secured with a screw the same size as the slot in the wall. Once the quilt is up, unscrew the exterior screws on the rack to release it; I'm using a Tapa cloth on mine, and it's the perfect solution for how I'm going to display this priceless gift.
The fabric is in perfect condition. We used it for an antique quilt, then switched it out a year later with no damage to the quilt.
Perhaps a smaller frame would be better for you - 36" - It is quite substantial, as we hung a leather piece with a Native American breastplate on the front of it, and it is 48" wide. It weighs approximately 8 lbs. It can accommodate two people. 3 pounds.

It's ideal for storing two antique and valuable carpets. However, there is one caveat: If you screw the knobs into the wood as intended, the wood will be dented. I purchased some pads that would be used under chair legs on a hardwood floor, drilled holes in them, and attached them to the knobs.
Drilling holes through the back piece into the studs in the wall and then screwing all the way through the back piece allowed us to mount the hanger directly to the wall. This was due to the fact that 1) the predrilled holes and our studs would prevent an even mount, and 2) reading the reviews and trying to precisely measure out the screw spacing seemed stressful. br>Once the back was installed, we wedged the quilt in place with a couple of dowel rods, loosely screwed in the knobs, and then pulled the rods out as we fully tightened the knobs. It came out looking fantastic!.
This is a fantastic rug hanger. The 36" black/ebony version was what I chose. I noticed that affixing the hanger with the installed rug to the wall was a source of frustration in some previous reviews. Following steps like these can make it relatively simple: 1) Remove the knobs that connect the hanger's two wood pieces. 2) Turn the bottom wood piece against the wall over to reveal the slots routed into the back to accept the wall screws; 3) As a template, place a long strip of wood (such as an old yard stick for a 36" hanger) or a long strip of paper on the back of the bottom piece. 4) Mark the top center locations of the routed screw holder indentations on your template with a pencil. 5) Place the template on the wall in the desired location for the rung and carefully make marks on the wall that correspond to the template's marked routed screw holder indentations; 6) Screw the hanger to the wall at the marks you just made (if you're mounting it on drywall, use dry wall anchors unless you're certain there's a wall stud beneath the drywall); 7) Place your rug between the two wood hanger pieces and replace the knobs on a horizontal surface. 8) Hang your completed rug and hanger combination on the wall, securing it with the screws you installed. Take pleasure in your new work of art on the wall.
Perhaps there's a trick to make installation go more smoothly (hard to say given the lack of instructions), but there's no room for error when it comes to getting screws in the EXACT right spot on the wall. I measured the distance between the two slots that need to slide over the two screw heads, and then began drilling holes in the wall that distance apart (which isn't easy to do with great precision when you're reaching above your head), and the result was just a HAIR off-set. I don't think it's more than a tenth of an inch- It was impossible to hook the hanger over both screws at the same time because of this. During the struggle, I managed to break both the wall and the hanger. The hanger is only shakily attached to the wall at this point, and I'm not optimistic that starting over will yield better results. Unless the manufacturer begins to offer helpful advice (or even a paper template to help with precise hole drilling- My attempt to make one from scratch failed because the hanger is too three-dimensional. I would not recommend purchasing this item because it is too dimensional to accurately trace from. You might be able to make it work, however, if you attach user-generated content. Friendly hanging hardware is attached to the back of the piece. It's a shame, because the wood is beautiful and will make an attractive display until it collapses.
This is an excellent product. On-screen representation of stain selection in different colors This is the line that was given to me. br>br>The method for mounting the rack on the wall was not to my liking. Three screws are provided for each of the four screw slots, which are 16" apart (new math?). ) Drive the screws into the wall with the heads protruding slightly, then try to slide the rack onto them. It has been my experience that getting the screws aligned is nearly impossible, and there is very little room for error when it comes to screw placement. For different stud widths, I recommend simple countersunk screw holes spaced 16" and 24". It would have been much easier to screw the rack through the back of the rack into the wall if it had been screwed from the front. The front of the rack, which clamps onto your blanket, would cover this up. I believe they are attempting to design the rack so that you can remove it, mount the blanket, and then raise the clamped blanket up to the mounting screws later, but I had such a difficult time installing it that I would rather climb a ladder. Perhaps they could offer both options and let people choose their preferred method. br>br>Aside from my installation issues, this is a high-quality product that I would buy again if the need arises.
This quilt display has made me incredibly happy - My house appears to be inhabited by actual adults! I only deducted a star because the black finish is a little too light, allowing the wood pattern to show through more than I would have liked and making it super easy to nick and mark up. That said, with a little caution, you can easily pass for an adult. a good job. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and the end result!.
It was made with excellent craftsmanship and shipped safely, ensuring that it arrived in perfect condition. I ordered a 60" hanger for a 58" square quilt, and it's the perfect size; I followed the instructions in the installation video on their website and had no trouble installing it myself. It only has two slots on the back to attach to the wall with screws, but it appears to be very secure. It has made me very happy!.
Our Pendleton blankets came with two hangers, which we purchased. These blankets are made of thick wool. Similarly to the blankets that dangle from them; The hangers are simple works of art, one measuring 84 inches and the other 60 inches, both by Michael Oak. We would buy from you again without hesitation. br>br>Use wall anchors if you aren't fastened to a wall stud.
