A ymmv situation. To start, I find the whole set to be very well made for the price it is offered at. The scale was perfect for my bedroom, and I love how it gives me plenty of storage while this unit is close to the wall, and looks great at the same time. There were a couple of issues with both the instructions and the factory welding, but if I hadn't had some additional tools, I wouldn't have been able to solve them. As a first issue, the underline on part 6 was replaced with a tick mark instead of a red underline (part 9 did not have Ideally, the shelves would have lined up correctly, but fixing that problem was a simple task. In addition, one of the shelf brackets was welded on backwards (pictures of the correct and incorrect alignment can be seen in the photos). In the screw holes, there are two slightly different locations - It was impossible for them to line up center. As a safety precaution, I used a step drill bit and a few washers to make the holes oblong. If there were no screws on the side, it may have kept together thanks to the screw on the side, but I would have serious doubts about the structural stability of this design without any screws. Initially, this would have been great for saving space, but building it would have been an absolute nightmare. In my previous job, I built knock down furniture at a box store, so I am not exactly inexperienced in the construction industry. It was not clear which uprights were which. I was slightly confused by labeling of parts 6 and 9, but it was not a major issue and I realized it before it contributed to further confusion. This is a pair of these that I bought - The desk includes one stand alone version and one that goes with it. It was easy to assemble, but when I put it into the wall, one of the bookshelves did not have the bottom sealant for the screw, so I had to sort of jimmy it into place before anchoring it.

The self-contained system is also convenient and doesn't take up too much space. I love how it looks and how well it works. surprised at how study the shelves are as well as how much space they provide compared to tables, which I immediately.
