The front door slides both directions to open completely as we were under the impression. The one way slide is about half of its length while the other way slide is less than half. Getting the glass shelves in was very difficult, as only one person could reach inside at a time. Also, the light was dim, and had to be switched on and off. It appeared to have a touch light feature, which I thought I had read somewhere. It's a beautiful addition to our home, except for two minor misconceptions on our part.
The quality of the product is extremely high. The item is very heavy, so if you are not careful when moving it, your floors will be scratched. Although the glass and mirrors need to be cleaned after I receive it and set it up, this is a stunning piece once they're clean. The lampshade had a burned out bulb, but that wasn't a big deal, I simply bought some new lampshades. My favorite Howard Miller product is their curio cabinets, so I'm a big fan.
A glamorous setting.
