Questions & Answers

How long ago was it filled up? Does it indicate when it's time to replace it based on how many times it's been filled?

In short, yes. In this function, it counts how many times the lid of the reservoir has been A green light flashes when the filter is in good condition, a yellow light when it is next to time to change it, and a red light when it is nearly gone. If you wish to change the filter, press and hold the button until it flashes two times green. As of now, I've had the pitcher for about nine months, and the indicator has proved to be accurate.

Do the electronic filter indicators reset after replacing batteries? If the batteries are changed, what kind of batteries are used in this pitcher? How long will the batteries last?

Thank you for visiting. We do not currently offer replacement batteries for our models. Pitching machines made by BRITA have a 1-year warranty Batteries have an average lifespan of 5 years and come with a warranty of one year. We have a website where you can find more Brita team member Nat

What type of batteries are required for electronic counters?

As far as I know, there is no way to replace a sealed battery, but I've had mine for over 5 years and it works fine.

Is there anyone else who had difficulty fitting the cover? No matter what we do, we can't get ours to fit. ?

It was 8 months ago that I purchased. Having had personal experience and having read some reviews, I believe there is an issue with some of these which allows the standard Brita FILTER to become swollen and float By pushing the top cover upward just enough to cause the top cover to pop up, the top cover no longer fits! scenario has occurred many times and rendered the filter useless because the space that surrounds the swollen part of the filter is too small for water to flow through it. I have a cracked screen and have been too lazy to return it, so I'm out a few hundred dollars

As soon as I received it, this pitcher was falling apart
3/5

My first attempt at getting in touch with you about my problem was unsuccessful. I tried to contact you directly before writing this review, but I wasn't able to do so. My order for this 10 cup pitcher was placed on April 11, 2018. It had been in the box for a long time before I took it out. It was clean and I filled it up with water Finally, put it all together so it can be used. Flip-flops are held in place by "clips" made of plastic. There is an extra piece that fits over the fill port, not perfectly. I find the top to be loose and it is damaged The pop offs keep happening. Additionally, there is also a leak coming from the handle. It appears to have been caused by the way the handle is attached to the I can't find an alternative way to communicate, so I wrote this review because it needs to be replaced. It's possible that you'll spot it and learn from it What can we do to fix it? I need another pitcher, so I'm taking a chance that you will see this one, or at least that I will get one made properly the next time. Having to deal with this is quite frustrating and irritating I am disappointed. Joint Venture

The filter holder in the picture is After another Brita pitcher lasts 6 years, I bought this one as a replacement
3/5

The first time I used it was probably a month or so after I bought After leaking around the filter for less than 5 months, it has developed another leak. This is to get rid of the taste of water that has been chlorinated. However, you can still taste it in the filtered After replacing the cartridges several times in the past, we found that water now runs down the side of the filter instead of dripping through it, so we think we got a bad pack. As a result of this horrible pitcher, we now have thrown out 3 likely good (and brand new) filters. In the event of a possible 0 stars, I would certainly give it one. *Edit

A pitcher like this must be hand cleaned with mild soap every week and dried every other week A 2 week period. There is not a single flex in the plastic or shoving of the filter down. A quick update The pitcher we received from Brita is new. It's awesome to deal with their customer service. Even so, the water drains around the filter rather than through it and continues to cause a problem. Unlike in the old pitchers, these filters do not sit tightly into place in the new pitchers. Instead, they flap loosely on the inside There is just something wrong with this pitcher.

We need leaks, a lid that won't stay on, and stars if possible! This Brita is horrible
3/5

I've had many Brita's in the past. The price was cheaper than other Britas, and we were just going to keep it in the fridge and In addition, red is my favorite color. It is always falling off that little flip-open lid, so I can never fill it. You can't gently snap it into place since it doesn't have the little ridge to grip. Furthermore, I always fill it right to the very top when I fill it. You can see leaks from the top before you even get to the bottom. In order to fill it, I have to place it in the sink as otherwise it The water gushes out when you pour it. Whenever you pour, you really need to be gentle. An adhesive stuff that sticks from the top of the spot down to the bottom of the canister is also found in the spot This seems to have been fixed during post-production. The first thing I would have done if I had known all of this in time is send this back immediately. Although I had no immediate need for it upon delivery, it sat in the box for quite a while before I used it. I don't wish to disparage Brita in any way, so please do not impose this viewpoint upon anybody. It's one of my favorite brands. This one, however, is not the same as the others.

It is a poorly designed product, and you should not waste your money
3/5

There is a problem with the flip top it keeps falling off, so I recommend the "Brita Extra Large 18 Cup Filtered Water Dispenser" instead since it holds way more and functions at a higher level.

Is there something totally craptastic you want to buy? Buying this super cheap piece of super-thin plastic will allow you to put even more plastic into the waste stream - in no time! You should not waste your time with thin, easily broken trash! The pitcher might not be for you if you don't have kids or husbands or bump into each other very often
3/5

As for the marmoleum on the floors, it is kinder to glass and plastic drops than the ceramic tile I had back Rather than using the bottom section for watering my plants, I now use the top portion for that purpose. My filters are expensive, and I don't know what I'll do with them. When your cheap, brittle Brita breaks inevitably, I suggest a metal water filter (a Berkey, if you are curious what I mean) rather than a plastic water filter. You only need to buy one metal one. Metal ones are much more expensive, but you won't have to buy two. It is nice because you don't have to buy individual plastic bottles anymore since you can refill In some cases, you may be able to recover the cost of the water within one year, depending on the amount Water filters are not my business, so I do not have any stock in them. There's just something that irritates me. I would like to mention another topic, separate from my dissatisfaction and anger with Brita Anyone living in the Pacific Northwest with concerns about The Big One, the earthquake that could spread across the Pacific Northwest and as far west as I-15, should read this article. While testing the water from stream and rainwater for a month or two without any tap water or water from the rest of the country, a larger, more effective water filter made to withstand river and rainwater might be best in any case. The prepper in me is not! I am just a reader who read an article about deep snow in The New Yorker a few years ago, when we had no power and no cable or internet for 10 days. Fun is not an option.

Compared to the last one, this one is much easier to fill and requires only one filling
4/5

Pretty good for a first try. Our previous Brita could not contain enough water (on top), so we would have to fill it several times to get it to capacity. This new one has a large, fully customizable water reservoir (on top). The Keurig coffee machine fills much easier with this one, and I just have to fill it once when I need to make coffee. My only complaint is that I wish the spout wasn't square, because it sometimes spreads water out I found the solution by holding it at an angle. It's just a minor tweak that only someone living in a 1st world country would notice.

I also had to fiddle with it a bit to get the lid to click into place. Though I thought it was impossible at the time, I managed to get it to connect so it was one piece and not leaning to one side. Because of the design defects noted above, a single star is removed from the rating, with my power invested in me.
