Why? I have no idea. Last year, for $2, I purchased the red one. I paid $99 and received free shipping because I am a Prime member. That being said, I think it's fantastic!

Years ago, in Chicago's Chinatown, I bought two melamine spatulas from a Chinese hardware/cooking supply store. They were precisely what I'd been searching for. With a thin tapered edge, it is thin and stiff. The original two have chipped and cracked as a result of use over the years. One of them recently became public knowledge. I ordered a variety of melamine spatulas from Amazon to replace them. One was completely useless due to its thickness. Another was a little slimmer and a little more practical. This one, however, is the best. It's thin and tapered, making it ideal for getting under an egg or crepe without tearing or smushing. I'll most likely purchase more of these because finding the right tool can be difficult. br>It comes highly recommended!.
I measured carefully to find a close match, and this one was the right size; however, I am extremely disappointed. After only a few uses, the bottom of this has already begun to chip. I'm expecting it to snap at the slightest provocation. Don't throw your money away. Because the handle isn't stamped melamine, I'm guessing it's just low-cost plastic.
The item is thin and unpolished, and it has a cheap feel to it. The handle isn't at all "ergonomic," and it feels as if it could easily snap under pressure. Quality comparable to that found in a dollar store.
br>br>I've been using these spatulas almost every night since I bought them, and I'm really happy with how well they're made. These are quite durable and have withstood everything we've thrown at them so far. They can be washed in the dishwasher and used in extremely hot pans.
I've had one for a long time and love how it fits perfectly under an egg in the frying pan. It has a thin base, which I like. That egg should be scooped up immediately. Making over easy eggs is a breeze with this tool. It also takes very little effort to clean up. I went out and bought three more, two for the kitchen and one for our RV.
I purchased three of them in various colors. So far, I've been pleased with them. Even after hand washing and dishwasher use, the sticky glue on one of them hasn't come off. I like that they are sturdy but not as dangerous as metal on non-metallic surfaces. surfaces cling to.
Last year, I bought a spatula that looked similar to this one, and this year I ordered two more. They're the ideal length and width. Also, make sure to clean up after yourself.
Because my previous one was eaten by my dog, I had to purchase a replacement. I'm thinking about getting another because it's my favorite and the one I reach for the most. Everything it's good for, and it's a breeze to clean up.
