They appear to be nylon bristles. thicker and more "strengthening"? "than the bristles of a toothbrush" They're also fantastic at filling in crevices. Because it works so well in small, cramped spaces, I quickly wear mine out. I hope this information is useful.
As shown in the photo, the brush I received is teal.
I've only used this tool to clean my "difficult to clean Bundt pan," and it's held up admirably. It is not intended to be used for 'household' cleaning.

I finally found the right brush (by chance) for my Nordic Ware bundt and cakelet pans after purchasing four brushes that were too large to reach the crevices. I wish I had known about this six months ago. It would have saved me money, time, and a lot of aggravation. I'm very happy with the tool. It is small enough to fit into the intricate designs' tiny crevices. It does not scratch the finish, as far as I can tell. My bakeware can now be cleaned quickly.
The Nordic Ware bundt thermometer as well as the bundt cleaning tool were both ordered. Cleaning the smaller details on my bundt pans appears to be a good use for the cleaning tool. I was hoping for a less taxing clean-up. Today, I got my package. The thermometer appears to be in good condition, but the cleaning tool kit was missing. I'm extremely disappointed. There are no words to describe the abhorrent package that was delivered to my house. There is still food in it, as well as what appears to be mold. It's obvious that it's been abused. Because I didn't require it right away, I didn't open it, and the return window closed. This is revolting.
Two of them were purchased! I have some very intricately patterned Nordic Ware pans, but the thought of cleaning all the nooks and crannies makes me reconsider using one of them. I can now clean the pan I'm using with ease.
I bought two of these, thinking they'd be useful for a variety of cleaning problems - I was correct in my assessment. I keep one in the kitchen for cleaning cooking utensils (it's great for cleaning the filter cups in my coffee and tea machines, as well as bradley/smoker and cookie racks, and so on). Another is kept in the bathroom to clean the shower's corner areas and grout. The combination of the unique bristle angles, cleaning point, and scraper is ideal for reaching a variety of difficult-to-reach places. Old toothbrushes can't get to those hard-to-reach places.
After my first attempt disaster (I had failed to prepare the pan according to Nordic instructions), I thought I'd never use the decorative Nordic bundt pan I'd been given again. Not only was the cake a disaster, but I couldn't even clean the crevices in the pan! As a result, I decided I'd never use the pan again. Instead of wasting a lovely cake pan, I came across this tool and decided to give it a try. It turned out fantastically. I cleaned the pan, tried another cake (this time following the prep instructions to a tee) and - success! I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who uses a Bundt pan.
But I also use it to clean the little bits of dough that get stuck in the tops of pie crust cutters. The ridges on the pie cutters make cutouts for cherry or even fall (think leaves) pie designs. Cleaning the small pieces of dough can be difficult at times - This tool, however, is not one of them! Clean the tightest areas on these cutters and bundt pans with the small pick on one end or the smaller brush on the other! It's the most effective tool for the job.
