Questions & Answers

Is it possible for politicians to have their heart temperatures read?

A politician is defined as someone who is parasitic.

Is it possible to use it with both candy and oil?

Yes, I've used it to make candy before.

Is it possible to wash it?

The metal probe is unquestionably watertight. Even KY Jelly isn't a match for it. The red plastic measures approximately 46 inches in length. 7% waterproof at room temperature, I am not sure above that. To test the percentage, I wouldn't put it in the microwave on high and cook it.

How long is a battery good for before it needs to be replaced?

It lasts a long time and only requires one AAA battery to operate. They're inexpensive and widely available almost anywhere.

I put it to the test with a Thermapen
5/5

I saved up for about three years and spent around $100 on a Thermapen after reading rave reviews. Since then, I've been using it and I'm very happy with it. However, this week I witnessed a brief(? Amazon has a $10 thermometer on sale. I wanted one for travel, so I paid 99 dollars for it. So I took a chance and bought it last week. (See photo below. ) (The new one is a bright red color. ) I wanted to put it through its paces and accuracy as soon as I got it. I compared the two on fresh-from-the-oven bread. Within a second, they both displayed the same temperature. I tried it again this morning for my tea with boiling water. I'm not sure if it'll last long--it's always the same temperature in the same amount of time. Term is over, but I'm overjoyed!.

I am a big fan of America's Test Kitchen, and I think they do a fantastic job
5/5

They conduct a lot of product testing and reviews in the kitchen. A meat thermometer was one of the products they reviewed. Thermapen, which costs around $100, was recommended by them. For my budget, it's a little too high. One of the reviews for this ThermoPro thermometer came from someone who owns the $100 Thermapen and did a direct comparison between the two. They claimed that their accuracy and speed were almost identical. So, for a price difference of nearly ten to one, I chose the ThermoPro. Not once did I feel let down. The thermometer performs admirably in a variety of applications, including reading meat temperatures and hot oil temperatures. This thermometer comes highly recommended from me.

Cheap
3/5

Hello there, everyone. Just keep in mind that you get exactly what you pay for. The metal probe/tube came uncrimped from the plastic base after only 6 months with this unit. When it was whole, it worked perfectly and provided a quick temperature indication. But, despite my best efforts to handle and clean it with care, the product's fundamental low cost outweighed my TLC. So, if you want to avoid it, spend a little more money and get a unit that won't fall apart. Oh, and I couldn't get the probe to work when I tried to reinstall it. On the display, there are a lot of big numbers!.

In the last three months, I've had two thermometers break
3/5

I bought my first one on June 8th and was so pleased with it that I bought a second one on June 30th for baking. I was attempting to take the temperature of my chicken tonight when I noticed an entire column of ink (lights?). ) had left the building. I thought maybe he dropped it because a friend used it this week when he was over, so I took out my baking one and it was the same thing. The ink had vanished from an entire column. I know it wasn't dropped because I'm the only one who uses it. Both thermometers lasted less than three months, which is pretty pitiful. In my opinion, it is not worth the money.

Within a year, three of them will cease to function
3/5

Prior to going out, I adored them. The ease of use appealed to me. A quick summary. The use of a multi-angle probe is also very beneficial. br>br>UNFORTUNATELY, I've just finished my third thermopro tp03a. Within a year, the first quit her job. I liked the function and decided to buy two more because they were only $12 each. Three months later, the second and third units are both working quickly. I tried changing the batteries, but it didn't work. When compared to two different styles of thermometers that read the same at 150F, the last one turns on but is 10 degrees off. The temperature on the thermopro has now reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit. These were fantastic, but it appears that a new thermometer is in order. I wish I had saved the warranty information, but I can't find a phone number for the company on the internet.

It has a thin temperature probe that helps to keep large holes at bay
3/5

I intended to use this digital thermometer to check the internal temperature of the bread loaves I bake on a weekly basis. It has a thin temperature probe that helps avoid large holes in the crust, which detract from the finished product. br>However, the probe is inaccurate. The temperature is around 10 degrees Fahrenheit below freezing. This was confirmed by measuring the temperature of boiling water. It is not possible to change the calibration. When it comes to baking, ten degrees is a big deal. br>Money that could have been used for something else.

The Curse of the Terrible Thermometer is a story about a terrible thermometer
3/5

Because of the THOUSANDS of positive reviews, I purchased this product nearly a year ago. When I first saw it, I thought to myself, "Wow!" "How did THIS get SO MANY FAVORABLE REVIEWS?" " It was made of what I assumed was some of the CHEAPEST plastic I'd ever seen in a "tool," kitchen or otherwise - Apart from DOLLAR STORE TOYS for kids, that is! But, despite my reservations, I felt it was only right to give it a fair shot. I didn't expect it to make it to the end of its year warranty, much less to the end of the year. br>br>(Before I begin, let me state that I have ALWAYS handled my "terrible thermometer" with caution - SPECIAL ATTENTION! )br>Honestly, every time I used this thermometer, I was pleasantly surprised by its speed, accuracy, and, to be honest, the fact that it was still in good working order. Around the holidays, however, I began to notice some temperature discrepancies, as well as a longer time to obtain said temperatures and, of course, the mystery crack. The crack appeared exactly where the probe's plastic ended. As time went on, the crack grew worse, I couldn't close it at all, and the temperatures and times worsened. The new year has arrived, as has the holiday season. Around New Year's Eve, the crack became a break, and the probe was literally "hanging by a thread - or, in this case, wire. " Of course, despite my best efforts, it did not work. It was in the 50s the last time I grilled outside, we were sitting around a small fire, and I was cooking - BURNING IS OBVIOUSLY NOT PERMITTED. In the dark, there are burgers. I wished I'd had better lighting because relying on the thermometer was a huge mistake that cost me nearly $20 worth of beef. It may not seem like much, but $20 is $20, and I despise losing money of any kind, especially when it comes from an avoidable source AND from stupidity (my decision to rely on an unreliable tool)! br>br>I didn't want to bother contacting the company and filing a warranty claim, so I just tossed it out and chalked it up to a learning experience. However, while browsing Amazon's "digital thermometer land," I was reminded of my minor ailment. As a result, I felt compelled to issue a warning to anyone who reads my "Tale of a Terrible Thermometer. " I've also made the decision to get in touch with the firm. I doubt they'll do anything because I don't have any photos or a product, but it's a matter of principle at this point. Maybe I'll be lucky, but I doubt it, so I'll invest in a better, more durable, and reliable product. It won't be a ThermoPro product, but I can't judge an entire company based on such a small product (and it won't be a fluke product either). I'm pretty sure they're all made of cheap plastic, so it'll only be a matter of time before they snap). br>br>To sum up, if I wasn't clear earlier, please allow me to clarify now. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT IN THE SMALLEST AMOUNT! Good luck to everyone who decides to give it a shot.

For about a month, it worked perfectly
3/5

After about a month of use, it began to display either 400 or XX temperatures. br>Does anyone know how I can get a replacement for this while it's still under warranty?.
