Why not, I say? The probe is extremely thin, and the tip is even thinner and more pointed in order to pierce foods such as meats. It’s likely that you would pierce your rectum or intestine, but’t be a problem for a moron who likes to stick things up their behind. This thermometer is quick (though not as quick as advertised) and accurate (it agrees with older, slower thermometers). It's what my wife uses to make candy, which necessitates a precise temperature. It can be used for a variety of other cooking tasks, but none of them have been tested due to three factors: (1) Her husband cooks all of the dinners, and (2) he has a lot of man'splain genes and a "hold my beer" attitude. His wife adds that he is definitely not available, but that if you make an offer, he will consider it.
It does exactly what it says on the tin. Two minutes is the response time. Three seconds have passed. Having used several of these types to check temperature, this one outperforms them all, even giving the room's correct air temperature when opened. It automatically turns on when the door is opened, which is a great feature because it eliminates the need to fiddle with an on/off switch. I adore it, and the seller's lifetime warranty and prompt response to customer complaints convinced me to make the purchase. They are confident in the quality of their work.
This thermometer was recommended to me by a friend because it could read temperatures using voice commands. I mean, right out of the box, I had to cook chicken one day and beef the next, and with this thermometer, I was able to get very accurate readings. When it comes to getting internal temperatures on meat, it's made cooking for a visually impaired person so much easier.
This meat thermometer is extremely well-designed. br>br>Investigation: br>br> solidly built and securely connected to the thermometer's electronic component. It's very easy to slide into the meat I'm grilling. When you rotate the probe out, the thermometer also turns out, and if you forget to close the probe, it auto shuts off after a period of time. br>br>Display: br>br>Display: br>br>Display: It's easy to read, comes with a backlight, and rotates automatically. It has a Celsius setting, which I haven't tried because I'm in the United States. Ergonomics: br>br>Ergonomics: br>br>Ergonomics: br>br> It is, after all, simple to grasp. What is the maximum comfort level of a handheld thermometer? br>br>Conveniences: br>br> Magnetic! I'll just slap it on my grill! It's also waterproof, but only to the extent of IP67, which I'm not sure what that means. Will it be able to withstand the rain? If not, the magnetic portion becomes less useful, as I simply want to leave this on my grill. Bottle cap opener. br>br> It's self-explanatory, and it won't bind or muck things up. Extra battery br>br> "Oh, they gave me a battery to put into it," I thought to myself at first. " Nope. An extra battery is available for free. Jackpot. br>br>Overall, it performs admirably as a meat thermometer.
At the very least, not this one. Until it got wet, it was amazing. It's not even close to being waterproof. Ruined.
This thermometer is extremely quick, accurate, and simple to use. The calibration feature is useful, though mine was spot on right out of the box. There's no reason to spend more money on a different thermometer, in my opinion. I especially like the sharp tip on the probe's end, which easily penetrates the food without the need to press down as hard as some other units do.
My meat thermometer, which had only been in service for a few months, needed to be replaced. I paid a lot of money for it, and it looked very nice. However, I was unaware that the previous one I had purchased was not waterproof. It died after being washed a few times! I looked for a few different types and settled on this one because it's simple to read. It's the perfect size, neither too large nor too small. It takes up very little room in my drawer. It still reads like a champ and is fairly accurate after being washed with soap and water. I'm planning to purchase another one soon to give as a gift to my teen niece, who is beginning to experiment with different meats.
I'm blind, so I was surprised to find a lare readout SPEAKING thermometer for such a low price; however, I guess I got what I paid for. It came with a dead battery that had been installed. It came with a spare that lasted a day, so there was no problem. I purchased a number of replacement batteries, but it appears that this device simply consumes them. I was planning on exchanging, but I put it off. I think I've got a lemon on my hands. It's nice, aside from the fact that it eats batteries. There are only three buttons to learn. The structure is made of basic plastic. It's a nice touch that it folds. If you get a lemon, send it back right away.
