Hello,br>br>Because the thermometer is a spot check thermometer rather than a leave-in oven thermometer, you can't leave it in the oven. Regards,br>br>Marybr>Kizen Customer Service br>
You should submerge it in ice water, according to the manufacturer. After that, you can adjust it to 32 by pressing a button. However, you must repeat this procedure every time you turn it on. Because we'll be cooking with it, I prefer to test it in boiling water. It is always within 1 degree F, which is excellent given the low cost (non-certified lab equipment). I only looked at it once when I first got it, and I never looked at it again. These digital thermistors have a high level of reliability. When it's off by, I've heard some people complain. 5 degrees, but come on, a more accurate thermometer would cost hundreds of dollars and would need to be sent in for inspection and testing once a year. In the end, it's precise, quick-acting, and bomb-proof. If you drop it, you'll have proof. By the way, as a retired soil scientist, I would have purchased one of these for my field kit if it had been available at the time.
To change the battery, open the battery compartment on the back with a coin, according to the owner's manual. The type of battery we use must be a 3V CR2032. On the left side of the battery compartment, there is a C-shaped metal. Battery should be inserted at an angle against the C-shaped metal and pressed down. If the battery does not fall out when the thermometer is turned over without the battery door, it is properly installed. If it comes out, you'll have to re-insert it until it's securely lodged. Using a coin, press down and twist the battery door back on once the battery is secure. Hand-wash only the metal probe when caring for your thermometer. Do not fully submerge in the water. I hope this has been of assistance.

I used it twice and both times it indicated that the meat was done cooking at a temperature of around 90 degrees. I followed the recalibration instructions, but the results remained the same. br>We bought this based on the reviews, but it disappointed us so much that we returned it. br>br>UPDATEbr>UPDATEbr>The customer service is excellent. They immediately contacted me after seeing my one-star review. They gave me a full refund and sent me a new one for free. The replacement is far superior to the original and provides a more accurate temperature reading. The first thermometer had to be defective. br>I'm very pleased with the new one!.
It only works on a sporadic basis, and the thermostat reader frequently displays all 888's. I swapped out the batteries, but the problem persists. I didn't use it more than ten times. I have a Webber thermometer that I purchased 5 years ago and it is still in good working order; if it were more reliable, I would give it 5 stars. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Following the publication of this review, the company contacted me and informed me that they would send me a replacement thermometer and that the product was covered by a lifetime warranty. I couldn't be happier with the replacement, which arrived a few days later. Customer service is outstanding.
I've been using the Kizen instant read thermometer for a few months now and have had mixed results. The thermometer is easy to use and gives accurate readings. It is also long-lasting and simple to maintain. The magnetic backing is also a nice feature because it makes it simple to stick things where they belong without having to reach for them. My issue with the Kizen instant read thermometer is that it is neither "instant" nor "fast. " I bought it because I needed a quick thermometer to probe meat in my smoker and get quick readings while keeping the door open. When it comes to cooking, I value heat and smoke, and I despise having to keep the door open longer than necessary, which is why I chose the Kizen. knowing that it claims to be able to read in less than two minutes Three seconds have passed. The thermometer, in my experience, climbs a little slowly for 5-minute increments. Before giving a reading, wait at least 7 seconds, and sometimes even longer. It was fun to watch it climb 135, 142, 155, 164, 169, 170, 173, 174. It's a killer to probe different areas of the meat, or different pieces of meat. By simple calculation, if I have to probe 5 times and each probe takes 7 seconds, the smoker door will be open for more than half a minute. If it did, it would only take two minutes. I'd only have the door open for a third of the time in 3 seconds, which is exactly what I hoped for when I purchased the Kizen model. I'll keep using it for open pan grilling, but I'll be looking for something else, something faster, for my grill / smoker.
It started out fine, but after only a month, there is already condensation on the surface due to the high temperature. It was a waste of money. As a side note, it's not 201 degrees inside my house, as the picture suggests.
It also comes in attractive packaging. I gave it to my husband as part of a bbq basket, and he absolutely loves it. He just tested my daughter's bath and found it to be 102 degrees. 4 degrees seems to be a bit of a rarity.
We used it to make a 16-inch pizza. On Christmas, I ordered a pound prime rib, which was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was excellent. We are very satisfied and would recommend both the product and the seller! I received a follow-up email with a compilation of suggestions for most effective use, as well as a reminder that the product is under warranty should we have any issues.
Everything went according to plan - extra battery included in the package - That was really cool - It took about 6 seconds for the temperature to reach a stable level.
Anyone grilling or cooking meat, poultry, or fish should have an instant read thermometer on hand. The key to not overcooking is to use this method! br>This is the most accurate food thermometer I've ever had. I would strongly recommend this thermometer to any of my friends who are looking for one. Also a good vale!.
