If only I had one, it would have been a great addition to my kitchen. There were no false advertisements. Although it is advertised as reaching 500°F, it does not reach more than 210 degrees. Bought this for candy making which calls for 300°F temperatures - I will not be able to use and I am seeking a refund. My order was received within 2 weeks, so I could try it within a week. This is a waste of time, I am truly grateful for your kindness, Chef.

Clip-ons are not as effective as these

The clip on thermometers that slide around are something I fight every time I make candy. The thermometer should not be adjusted or fiddled with, instead you need to focus on the temperature. It is wonderful to have this spatula thermo! There's nothing you have to do with it once you put it in the pot. It would have been great if this device existed years ago because it would have saved a lot of fuss. The readout is easy to see and can be used as metric or standard. The silicone spatula is temperature-safe, and the thermometer is removable for easy I am pleased with the.
