crab knife. Ordered a number of items labeled as "crab knives" and this is the only one that is truly a crab knife. Just an opinion from a Marylander.
There are a few other knives I've tried, but this is my favorite. The blade is not light so you can hold it easily and use the handle to break Due to the blade not being razor sharp, there is less chance of getting cut.
It was not sharp at all, I worked as a crab picker for a year and this knife would have cost me my job because lots of shells would have been in the crab meat.
learned recently that cutting off about 1/3 of the top of the body is possible even when the legs and claws are left on. After the meat has been dug out, you can easily dig it out. It is generally recommended to leave the legs on so the meat can be served with them. Aside from being shipped promptly, it was well packaged.
Although the pricing is good, the presentation is not this great for the cost of one knife (I wanted to give this to my sister for her wedding.
It is a pleasure to know.
Knives like this are good for eating blue crabs.
With enough weight, I was also able to crack claws with it. A bit of touching up was needed because it wasn't overly sharp. The crabs from Maryland are delicious, and this tool is perfect for eating them!.
