I had an old set of lobster crackers that had slowly depleted over many years and was hoping to 'fill in'br>br>I did a lot of research and chose this set based on the reviews. It is of 'fair' quality. br>br> With hollow handles, it isn't very sturdy. I have a feeling they won't last long, but for the price, I'm willing to risk it. br>br>I'm sure there are better sets out there, but I'm sure they'd be much more expensive.

To crack Dungeness crab, we used a plier and a crab meat pick or a rubber hammer. This set of tools is far superior. The tool cracker is ideal for cracking hard shells in claws and large portions of legs. The red tool, which can be used as a can opener to zip open the shell, or the short curved scissor can be used to cut open the soft well, can be used for the soft parts. The pick can be used to grab meat from the edges and corners of shells and pull it out. Eating crab is a lot more efficient and enjoyable with this tool set, and we were able to get a lot more crab meat than we could before. Anyone who eats crab on a regular basis will appreciate this tool set.

The fact that I didn't have to bend spoons, knives, or forks to dislodge seafood bits and pieces was the best part. Putting two or more shrimp on a skewer and rolling them in the butter is truly enjoyable. I'm not going to have to worry about my dentures cracking on the tips of snow crab legs anymore. With a quick motion, remove the meat from the steamers (mussels) and crack that crab, loose that lobster, and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy seafood, shellfish, and good company?.

Everything you'll need to eat your favorite shellfish is included in the package. This set arrived quickly and in excellent condition, with a nice fabric drawstring storage bag included. I'm very pleased with the quantity of items for the price. A two-year warranty from the seller (Hiware) is also included, as well as a lovely handwritten thank you note. We are so grateful to have these because we have a traditional seafood feast on Christmas Eve that attracts an increasing number of guests each year.

And every year, at the last minute, we discover that, despite a year-ago commitment to go out and buy crab crackers and picks, we have forgotten- To get the delicacies out of their stubborn shells, they had to use channel locks, various pliers, rubber mallets, and sheer force. This year, I remembered our proclivity for forgetfulness and placed an Amazon order for these. They elevated an event that was always a good time into something more formal.

Breaking the Scissors Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. The most crucial item, however, was a failure. It only lasted an hour before breaking in half while attempting to use it for the purpose for which it was purchased - Some king crab legs had their shells cut open. The scissors were used correctly, but they did not cut as well as they should have and fell apart.
