The pros include My little corner counter would be a little smaller because it sits up against the wall as opposed to the rotating one. In addition, I like that the items are all facing forward, so I am not having to spin to find them. The covers are made of metal rather than colored plastic, which I appreciate. The cons are It would be nice if the cover edges weren't so Depending on how much cutting I had to do, I'm not sure if it would be minimal enough to get cut. Additionally, there is only one size hole (small) on the disc with holes. While the set works well for salt and powder, I would like to see extra discs with large holes for items such as herbs and large Also, none of the discs that come with the store spices will fit, they're As for the book, I like it and am happy to have purchased In addition, I strongly recommend using clear labels since you will be able to see the nice covers and the way the light reflects off of.
Despite its price, it is a great value for the money, but there are a few downsides The following *br In order to fix this, I add in a couple of washers on each end of the front screw and reattach it. The following *br There is nothing to hold the base in place and it's There is a slight wobble in the rack due to this. The following *br A better set of feet would be beneficial. For two racks I got, rubber tape was applied. But it was pulling out of the spaces.
For this price, you cannot beat what you get since most sets cost this much for the jars alone. Because I no longer needed the shaker, I simply removed it, and now my herb babies have perfect little beds and places to sleep until I need them. Couldn't be more pleased with what I got. This counter space saving design is extremely sturdy, has limited counter space requirements, and has a sleek chrome finish on the tops.
The bottles are smaller than normal spice bottles, so spices can't fit in them. It is not possible to put red pepper flakes in the holes. The whole thing has a bit of a twist to it.
You are doing a great job with these. My spices were too big for just one of them. I needed two of them. In a way, it looks as if they were one big rack stacked side by side. As a result, my counter space is not crowded by them, and they have a low profile. The look is very clean and modern. It has been mentioned in previous reviews that the plastic cap with holes that is supposed to go up on the glass jar isn't very effective. The holes are too small for a finely ground spice. I left them off, since they were useless.
It is a bit irritating that these aren't labeled and you need to buy them separately, but I can't think of much to complain about since the rack costs less than $30. To get something as nice at bed bath and beyond you'd be looking at at least $100.
I love this, I can use it in so many ways, it has more jars than you need, and it frees up a lot of space for me.
Spice racks like this are good for those who do not have a lot of spices, or for those just learning. About 2 ounces can be stored in the jars, and the holes for the shaker are extremely small. The containers did not come with labels, but you can mark them with a dry erase marker on the lids. There are even a few empty jars that were left over so I can add spice in the future.
