This unit was ordered based on all the great reviews, and I couldn't wait to use it when it arrived. It is unfortunate that this unit cannot provide accurate results. I turned it on and followed the instructions to ensure it worked correctly. I weighed items two or three times to check if they were accurately weighed. Addition of 0 is made. The following is a note from my review of March 18th I tested the scale again after Etekcity shipped a new one. It worked perfectly Two scales have been shipped to me! What a fantastic experience. Excellent customer service, I can tell you that. In the case of the Etekcity Digital Food Scale, any items I placed on it were not weighed Although I had emailed the manufacturer and used new batteries, I still couldn't get it to weigh even a 5lb bag of sugar. The items on my list were all tested. I was going to buy the bowl either for security or because it didn't connect securely to the scale. As a result, I bought the AccuWeight 207 Digital Kitchen Multifunction Food Scale instead. This LCD display provided me with a large display and performed as expected. A bowl is not provided, but you may place your own weight and zero it out.
