You can remove sticky labels from pretty much anything with Goop Off or Goo B Gone! Not only this product has difficult labels, there are many others that have the same problem!

Taking the sticker off was not difficult for me. There is something about the grater that should give you pause, and that is that it is very The following cut-and-paste recommendation is my recommendation It is important to wear gloves that are resistant.
Microplanes of this size are too fine to use The size of a grater you need to grate carrots and zucchini should be regular. Generally, if the cheese is between the fine and regular, it is ok for the extra course version.

My very first microplane was broken two days after I got it, so I was very happy to find one with all-metal handles It is made of metal. Not a chance. The handle has a chunk of plastic embedded deep inside it, so if the piece gets cracked, it's game over.
I'm okay with it. It was purchased to replace some very old cheese graters (which I am not sure I will replace). As a result, the cheese shaves easily with the fairly sharp blade. I think it is a bit on the thin side, which accounts for its sharpness. Especially if you purchase cheese in larger blocks, it will be a little on the small side. problem I have with it is that it is classified as Since the grated cheese is pretty small and almost translucent, I would consider it to be "FINE". On the right you can see how the Microplane Coarse and Extra Coarse compare to my old Coarse and Medium grated cheeses. It is comparable to my coarse grater, but the Microplane Coarse is nowhere close to what I would describe as "coarse".
Even after using Goo Gone, acetone, and 10 cycles of dishwashing, the cutting blade still has nasty sticky residue on it. It is without a doubt the most asinine branding I have ever seen. In order to ensure that the cutter does not have such a label attached, I have since purchased a similar utensil from a local Crate and Barrel.
I thought I would give these a try because I am tired of the bulky tent grates that are difficult to maintain and store. As I read the reviews, I decided to buy Basic grater that can shred cheese to the same size as shredded cheese bought at the store would be sufficient for me. My goal is to get rid of processed foods (although I love cheese) so I will remove the rind from the blocks of store bought cheese to shred myself (which will also save me money). In addition, I really appreciate the rubber tip at the end of the shredder that helps it stay stable and prevents it from sliding. As of now, I have only used it to shred basic cheese, such as Swiss (picture), cheddar, or mozzarella rather than anything else. As far as I can tell, everything has gone well! This cheese shredder works well and is very easy to use. The surface can be cleaned up by hand easily If you let it get too hot, it can shred your sponge and your fingernails. My silverware drawer is the perfect place to store it. It is also useful to have the plastic cover to keep the product safe. It hasn't dulled at all during the time that I have been using it. I am aware that a number of others have said the sticker residue is sticky. The answer is yes. Not sure why they haven't either switched glue type or location of the sticker instead. Mine has it too and it's a real pain and a real disappointment. My first wash removed a lot of the residue, and I wash this every time and try to get more off. It still gets a 5 star rating since it is a good grinder thus The reviews I see are a significant part of my work. It would be appreciated if you acknowledged this review if you found it helpful.
Purchasing this product was solely based on the advertisement that it was "stainless steel". The cheese graters we have used have all been plastic, easy to break, and had faulty components. However, it is not indicated that the "heart" of this product is made from After the plastic has been molded, it is covered with stainless steel. Whenever the plastic breaks, which it did when in normal use, what's left is just a pretty looking stainless steel trinket with no obvious purpose.
It works as described, but Microplane's packaging is completely lackluster when it comes to thinking about what's going on inside! Shipped in a plastic bag, it's fine, however stickers are placed on the blade itself and the sheath that covers the blade (not This is not the type of sticker that is easy to remove. It is made of tough plastic. I am so sorry. I'm referring to the cheap horrible stickers that delaminate as you are removing them and leave behind the glue and paper when you do. You need some kind of WD40 or other chemical to remove the type that's stuck to your food tool (which is exactly what you want to use! Do you understand? I've attached a photo showing what the blade looks like after 12 hours in a bucket of water and after being scrubbed with a scrub brush It takes many minutes for the sponge to absorb the liquid. Microplane did not impress me as much as I had hoped.
The narrow version of this product is recommended. Having used a variety of Microplane graters for the past couple of years, here is my recommendation you should get the narrow version instead.
