Questions & Answers

Do you think this would work ?

It is impossible. Just sliced through a mushroom on my way to breaking mine

I thought about slicing eggs with it, but it doesn't seem to work right. What do you think? Is this layer too thick or still ok?

Using it to slice eggs is something I've never done. Although the strawberries are not too thick or too thin, I get very even slices out of it that are

Is it possible to slice a partially thawed frozen fruit with this?

Although it could be somewhat messy, I suppose it could be done. Sliced berries that have thawed out or simply fresh berries would be better, according to me. There are thick blades on this slicer, and I believe a user could also use it to slice other fruits, and even hard boiled eggs!

Is HDMI output available on this item?

With THIS model, you can only get analog video for the inexpensive price. For those of you with the desire to enter the digital domain, the Hutzler 571 banana slicer is a great option. That's right (I know it's right. Those who worship raspberry purity will be in a rage, but there is no HDMI option

The money spent was a waste
3/5

Even though I am a skeptic about kitchen gadgets, I occasionally buy them for their novelty value. The money spent on it is a waste. The strawberry has to fit into the basket (1) It will not fit every strawberry Putting a large strawberry in a cup is impossible. *(2) Pulling strawberries out after putting them in is tedious, especially if the strawberries are a little soggy. (3) The strawberry remains cling to the wires after cutting, making the task of cleaning up somewhat difficult. Instead of spending money on another kitchen gadget, you should invest it in buying a Chef knife. It is more versatile and gets the job done.

I have picked what I believe to be the best kitchen gadget of 2020! This is amazing! It would be a good idea to get a tablet now, if you don't already own one
5/5

You must try it if you like strawberries. It is really good. The strawberry trifle was so easy to make, and I really like the way it works. You no longer have to try and slice the berries at the same width since it takes care of that. It is my belief that this is going to be the most useful kitchen gadget for This isn't flimsy plastic, it is made very sturdy it is made of plastic of course, but it is made extremely well and it's very heavy. My personal cutting tool had rubber feet on the bottom so that it wouldn't slide. I held it with both hands It is all I can say, just give it a shot, I promise that you will not I also enjoyed my trifle, by the way. It's a pleasure to meet.

The gadget itself is mediocre, but the idea behind it is awesome
3/5

Our goal is to reduce the amount of time wasted when slicing strawberries for breakfast, dessert, etc. This is a very powerful tool from a theoretical standpoint. A set of circumstances is necessary in order for it to work. When using this tool to slice strawberries, make sure the strawberries are very firm and medium-sized. If the strawberries are starting to soften a bit, the blades will easily mush them since they are not very Also, if the strawberry is larger than the indentation, the excess will ooze out, meaning the cut will not be precise. The concept of this kitchen gadget is pretty cool, but it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to design.

This is a pretty cheap option
3/5

I did not expect it to be like this. Strawberry's seem to be out of style with my daughter. Although it is pretty cheap, I thought it was just the ticket. It's not just about price, but also about There are some shaky moments in this video The feeling that I will break it is overwhelming to me. The strawberry's firmness or consistency must be Perfect for it to cut them, otherwise it will mush It didn't work well for my wife and me when we tried cutting a dozen each about a week ago. I'm not sure if the blades aren't sharp enough. I don't think that a clean cut would yield super thick slices of the finished berries. Cut strawberries are not what you think of when you think of strawberries. If you do this, it would look a lot more like a strawberry when it is done, or at the very least, they should have made the blades space out enough to get an actual chunk instead of a thin thing that breaks when it is picked.

Quite possibly the most essential item in any kitchen
4/5

I have included the recipe with my am a fan of kitchen gadgets, but I thought one of these was a bit silly when I first saw it. I only bought it because I did not have prime and I brought my cart to the amount that makes free shipping possible. Once I got one of these, I no longer wondered how I ever managed to slice a quart of strawberries before I had I have used this for berries ranging from small to large, but the really large berries will need to be cut into a few pieces so they will fit. With this tool and the strawberry stem remover, I can easily prepare strawberries for shortcake and I can slice them mostly evenly when I present the dessert.
When choosing strawberries, I choose the ones that smell good, since that will indicate how sweet they will be. You can probably tell if someone is "smelling" strawberries at the grocery store whether or not they are ) Just a note on the recipe I first had strawberry shortcake on actual cake when I was in my 30's. My mother always made strawberry shortcake with There's no doubt that my kids will never forget the day when I saw Emeril Lagasse make strawberry shortcake on biscuits on his show. I shouted out, "See, I'm not crazy after all," to my family. prefer Strawberry Shortcake on biscuits because the less sweet taste of the biscuits does not overwhelm the flavor
of the berries. The best shortcake I've ever had is I would like 1 quart of - 1 package Pillsbury Grands Honey Butter Biscuits - 2 to 4 teaspoons of sugar, brown, raw, or table sugar - adjust level of sweetness to your taste - I tend to use less of the sugar if using Whipping cream that is actually whipped. At times, it is nearly impossible to find berries that are near perfect. As I slice the strawberries, I sprinkle lightly with sugar, mix gently with a spoon, then put them into a medium bowl.
Serve the biscuits after they have been baked according to the package directions.
After taking out the biscuits from the oven, let them cool slightly. I use four half biscuits for an entire serving
Spread the sliced berries on top and top with the whipped cream.
Split the biscuits in half. I am here to serve you and make sure you have a good time. To serve the biscuits to toddlers and preschool age children, I break them into bite-sized pieces and mix them with some of the berries in a bowl, then top them.

The best alternative to wire egg slicers
4/5

The slicer is perfect for slicing strawberries into even slices for a nice presentation, along with prepping a quantity of strawberries quickly. Initially I had used an egg slicer, but strawberries eventually stretched the wire too much, so I had to switch to a knife. As I was looking for a new egg slicer for this purpose, I came across this product. The metal blades gave the impression that it would last longer than a wire one. So far, it has served its purpose well. It has been mentioned by other reviewers that large berries do not fit and need to be halved first, but I find that most berries fit just fine. It is easier to slice hard berries, but soft berries do not slice In addition, the blades are not extremely sharp so it does require a bit of force for slicing. It would be much better if the blades were sharper, since soft berries typically do better on sharp blades. In addition to mushrooms, I have also used this slicer for bread. In spite of the fact that it slices mushrooms, the mushrooms are not as durable and tend to be crushed However, if the image were sharper, it might not be a problem.

Overall, I am glad that I downloaded this little tool and I find it helpful in a lot of circumstances. The blades are sharp but I wish they were sharper for better performance, so I just have to be careful with how I use them.
