Yes, it can cut sweet potatoes, but it must be used with caution. Because sweet potatoes are more difficult to process than regular potatoes, cutting them into sections before running them through the machine is recommended.

Selected User Reviews For Electric French Fry Cutter, Sopito Commercial Grade Potato Cutter with 1/2-Inch Blade Stainless Steel Perfect for Potatoes Carrots Cucumbers
This fry cutter is smooth, quiet, of excellent quality, simple to clean, and unexpectedly attractive. It took me about 5 minutes to disassemble, clean, and reassemble it after I got the hang of using it. It's my new favorite device! br>br>.
This 1/2" cutter is a personal favorite of mine. The 3/8 blade, in my opinion, is too small for most jobs. Before purchasing this electric one, I conducted extensive research. I have bad hands, so anything that makes my life easier is worth it to me. Most people say you should nuke sweet potatoes for 3 minutes, but I only did 1 minute. It only took 2 minutes (depending on the size of the potato) and it was perfect. (You must nuke the machine; otherwise, it will struggle and possibly break. ) On regular potatoes (no need to nuke them), it's a piece of cake. In less than 5 minutes, I cut up a 10 pound bag of white potato. Separating the fries into different sizes and vacuum sealing them into meal-size bags took more time. I had no waste because there were only two of us, so the smaller side and end pieces were cut up for hash. If you don't mind the size of your potato pieces for potato salad, I run the potato through the slicer once, then cut it in half when it comes out of the machine, then put it back in sideways and run it again. The potato will be small cubed in this manner. I still have to cut smaller cubes for my potato lumpia on occasion, but starting with small cubes saves me time. br>I also used zucchini to make baked breaded zucchini sticks, which were delicious. Cleaning is a pain because the front of the blade has four screws and washers (12 small pieces that are easy to drop in the sink) to remove before you can clean it. But after that, it's a piece of cake. To clean the pusher, simply hang the machine over the sink (use a toothbrush for the crevices). Cleaning the blade was also simple, but be careful. DO NOT allow things to dry on the blade; I can see how this would be extremely difficult to clean.
I tried the cheap little square manual "push down" french fry cutters - they were pretty good. which was a disaster. Then I looked into the "In-Line" giant arm puller, which is a large cast iron manual giant arm puller. French fry cutters in the style of "Out Burger" - which, according to user reviews, still required some muscle, and they appear to be a behemoth. Then I came across this sultry and sophisticated one - It's a total dream come true. It's as if a cloud is slicing french fries. SO EASY! Simply place the potato in the machine, turn it on, and voila! It's done effortlessly with no effort on your part, and you'll hardly notice! You might miss it if you blink. I wish I had more potatoes to cut because it's so smooth, quiet, and quick! The fries are the perfect size; we adore them. It's the perfect size: neither too big nor too small. The ideal size for frying potatoes that are pillow soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this product. (If it lasts a long time, it's well worth the money - It was only a couple of days ago that I purchased it.
French fry cutter that works well. I wish it came with a 3/8-inch cutter, which I use and had to purchase separately. There was an issue with the potatoes not being pushed all the way through. The cutter wing nuts were coming loose, and I realized it. The issue was resolved once the nuts were fully tightened. As a result, I double-check them before each session. It's a pain to clean, so I take it all to the kitchen sink, unplugged, and clean it with the faucet sprayer after each use. After that, I use a paper towel to dry it. Rather than using unhealthy vegetable oils in store-bought frozen French fries, make your own.
The money was not well spent. I wanted to love this product because it was so expensive, and I figured it would be a great help during cooking time; I could live with the fact that it's very large, heavy, and bulky, and not particularly attractive; however, what really drove me to return it was how difficult it is to clean. To clean it, you must unscrew four bolts and two small rings with each one; however, even after unscrewing all of these, the blade does not easily come off; I had to use other tools to get it out because it gets stuck on the corners. I had hoped that the French fry cutter would help me relax, but it actually increased my stress levels. It is simply not worthwhile for me to spend my money on it. It's heading back in the opposite direction!.
This device is perfect for 1/4" French fries and sweet potato fries that are baked to perfection.
Pros: Very user-friendly, cuts fries perfectly with a single push of a button, and is incredibly simple and quick to clean.
Cons: To clean the blade plate and the block pusher effectively, I needed to purchase a straw cleaner, which should have come with the device. Sweet potatoes must also be microwaved to soften them enough for the blade to cut through them.
With the touch of a button, you can get perfect-sized french fries in no time. Previously, the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were not allowed to participate in the elections My hand and wrist used to hurt from using an electric cutter, and I'd have to use so much force that I was afraid the plastic device would break. This excellent electric french fry cutter is well worth the extra money. It is simple to operate and maintain. I highly recommend it because having an electric french fry cutter is convenient. I had no idea this was a thing. Why not pay a little more for the convenience and the health of your wrist? Also, I read that putting sweet pots in the microwave for 3 minutes before using the electric cutter was a good idea, but it took too long and resulted in a big mess. I'd only microwave it for one minute. The time limit is five minutes.
