As a simple grader, I threw it away, as it was too narrow, it wasn't a micro plane, but only a narrow dull grader that was not very useful. The handle on this zester was easy to hold and use as I am older things at times can be difficult for me to hold stable but this one worked perfectly. The protective cover is difficult to put on and off, but that is not a big deal given that it does what it is suppose to do efficiently.
