Questions & Answers

Quantity 12 is stated in the description. Is this a 12-piece melon baller set?

The package states that there are 12 in total. There was only one item in the order I placed.

What color is it, exactly? I'm hoping for orange. ?

It has an orange color to it.

Is it made of plastic?

It's made of vinyl. It's something I've used for quite some time. Watermelon, kiwi, avocado, mango, pineapple, honeydew, and cantaloupe are just a few of the fruits and vegetables available. My teenagers love it, and it's a great way to entertain guests because each end is a different size. I've made tiny ice cream scoops with mini strop waffles for delectable desserts using this method.

What are the scoop sizes for both?

All of the previous responses have been proven to be incorrect. The small scoop's inside diameter is 15/16" (not 3/4" as one answer claimed, and certainly not 44mm, which would be nearly 1-inch). 3/4"). The larger side is a little more than a foot long. 1/8" (in the one, nowhere near 66mm, answer which would be over 2- 1/2"!

It does what it's supposed to do, which is to make balls
5/5

This cute little melon baller isn't going to see any melon. My elderly dog has no teeth, so forming her food into balls makes it easier for her to eat. To shape them, I first used a glove, then a spoon, which was a real pain. Finally, I came up with the idea of a melon baller. It's fantastic! So whatever you want to roll into a ball, this handy tool will do the job. I have not experienced any breakage or cracks, and it is in good condition.

Plastic that is inexpensive
3/5

After receiving it, I washed it in the dishwasher, and the ends have both deformed due to the heat. I realize they're plastic, but I figured they'd be able to withstand a simple dishwasher cycle.

Kids will enjoy it
4/5

I was expecting something a little bigger, but it turned out to be a little smaller. I bought it for my boyfriend's son, so it'll be fine; I figured he'd enjoy making watermelon balls in the kitchen instead of always reaching for cookies or sweet treats. ) I'd opt for a more durable model.

If you don't get it too hot, it's great
3/5

My quick dunk in boiling water melted mine; I should have known better, but it just went soft and shrank. Not a very stable situation. For sure, you can't put it in the dishwasher.

Sturdy
4/5

It's a good value for the money and performs admirably. It's what I use to gauge the size of my meatballs.

The best mellon baller in the history of the world! WOW! This is fantastic! I used this to ball apples for a Halloween treat, and it's not only better than any metal one I've used before, but it's still going strong! Yes, it bends a little, but after a dishwasher wash, it appears to straighten out and move on to the next fruit! I think I'll get a few more just in case something happens, because I'm afraid someone will figure out how much I like them and stop selling them!
