The portion size is not indicated on the scoops.
I'm not sure where it came from. In the item description, it should be stated. However, it has been far too long since I have opened my package.
I'm not sure about that, but it does feel a little flimsy to me. I'm just making sure I use it for the exact reason I bought it, so I don't break it by going beyond its capabilities.
This scoop is used by me because I'm left-handed.

I can't speak for other foods, but I bought this scoop to use with jumbo cookies, and it was a disaster. Because the piece of metal that scrapes through the dough to free it is weak, it gets caught on chocolate chips or anything else that isn't pure dough, you'll need two hands to press the handle together. This is most likely due to the fact that the metal strip extends at least 2cm beyond the bottom of the scoop, leaving a significant amount of dough in the scoop (see photo). I intend to return.
This scoop never completely removed all of the dough from the scoop, always leaving about 14-inch of dough behind. inch- Inside the scoop, there is a thick layer of dough. That was already a nuisance. But it eventually broke after only a few uses! Useless. The scoop's bowl popped open, and the curved metal "scoop" popped out as well. To get a ball of cookie dough onto my sheet, I had to physically put it back in the notch, hold it down with my other thumb, and compress the handles. I threw it out because it was useless. Make sure you don't throw your money away.
I had high hopes for this scooper, but alas, it was not to be. On the first scoop of my cookie dough, the central shaft mechanism popped out. In addition, I agree with other reviewers that the "swiper" in the scoop itself left more space between the scoop's wall and the swiper, resulting in a lot of dough in the scooper.
I've never used a worse scoop. Please accept my apologies for the video's poor quality. It was difficult to keep the camera steady and in focus while also displaying the flaws. br>Every time I squeeze it with dough, the metal "blade" part pops out. It doesn't even swipe the entire bowl, as you can see in the video. This scoop won't let me get any dough out of it. br>I'm in the process of making pizzelles; This is a recipe that I've been using for a long time. The batter is light and fluffy, not thick or sticky. I used to have a four-year-old OXO scoop that broke right before the holidays. This one was installed in its place, and it is AWFUL. br>I tried it with two different cookie types with different batter thicknesses and had even more issues. br>Don't throw your money away.
The size of this scoop was ideal for large cookies and drop biscuits. The handle, however, became stuck in the closed position after about the third time I used it. I was able to finish my cookies by pulling them apart with both hands, but the next time I used it, it happened again, and when I pulled the handles apart, the entire thing fell apart. (I'm just not that strong!) ) Of course, this occurred 12 days after the return window had closed, so I'm stuck and will probably have to discard it. But I'm not going to buy this brand again when I replace it.
This is the second time I've bought something like this. Great scoops; I use them to make muffins on a regular basis, and the XL size fits perfectly in my silicone liners when filled just below full capacity. It has a solid feel to it, with a smooth mechanism.
I really like the color, and it's very easy to use. This item and company are highly recommended. Doesn't tire my hand, almost perfect scoops every time, and shipping was lightning fast.
The handles were comfortable, and it seemed more substantial than previous scoops I'd used; it worked well the first time I used it, but not so well the second time. The metal'scraper' that's supposed to eject the cookie dough only went halfway by the third time, so I had to grab the part that ejected and pull each one out individually, which kind of defeats the purpose of using a scoop. Because I threw the box away, I was unable to claim their 'lifetime guarantee. '.
