This was an absolute mistake on my part. The item is made from dense aluminum and coated with a type of enamel that I believe is called a resin. In order to protect foods (lemons, etc. ) and aluminum from each other (corrosion), this coating is necessary. In comparison with my 5 year old lemon squeezer, this one is lighter and just as well made. I like the color and the option of using the built-in So far, this has been working well for me with lemons. It sounds like it will perform well in the long run, but I'm not sure. In the price range and after an initial quality test, I would recommend adding this to your kitchen tool collection.

I noticed right away how heavy this lemon squeezer is after I removed it from the box. This thing was completely unexpected to be made of metal and not plastic, as most kitchen utensils are. Seeing how the lever will be put through a lot of stress when used as a lever, I suppose that makes sense. I guess this item reminds me of old school items from the days before everything was It is the kind of thing that is passed down from generation to generation. Having the long handle makes getting a lot of leverage when you squeeze, so you don't have to strain your hands to get some juice. Being able to put much pressure on the fruit also helps drain it of every last drop, after I squeeze them, they look completely empty. There is a lot of weight to it and it's made of metal, not Having the seeds collected means that I don't have to remove the seeds after the limes or lemons have been squeezed. During the winter months I buy fruit in bulk and freeze it for use at a later date. Since I make guacamole with limes and make lemonade with lemons, I often buy limes and lemons in bulk. Since I had wrist surgery and have limited mobility with it, this is helpful and takes up a small amount of space in my drawer compared to a larger device I have used in the past. It can be easily used, which is great because I have had wrist surgery. Anyone looking for a product like this should definitely consider it.
