The dishwasher detergent/chemicals are most likely to blame. When I ran my dishwasher, there was a lot of clouding on the plastic. Now I do my washing by hand. There is no longer any cloudiness.
There are two parts to the juicer (top) and one measuring cup. It has graduations in ounces, cups, and metric measurements. Oxo makes a smaller version with tablespoons, but the math is the same.
It measures in milliliters, ounces, and cups, but not teaspoons.
The last merchandising image is completely deceiving. You will receive one container and two reamers when you purchase this item. Oxo's intent, I believe, was to demonstrate the relative sizes of the two larger 2-foot figures. a single model vs. a smaller lemon-only model However, there are no labels or indications of the two different models in that photo, leading the customer to believe they will receive two containers. Merchandising is atrocious.

At this price point, I probably shouldn't expect much. This juicer, on the other hand, is completely ineffective. It works if you only make juice from one orange at a time; after you've finished with the first halve, the pulp stays at the reamer and significantly slows the juice from dripping into the cup for the second halve. After you've finished one orange, it's nearly impossible to finish another without removing the pulp. br>While OXO produces a lot of high-quality products, this juicer is not one of them. It's a flimsy, slick cup.
One of the reamers was dirty when the package was opened, and the clear container had several deep dark large scratches. It's not good enough. The item was returned for a refund.
I'm dissatisfied, but not so much that I'm willing to return it. Every morning, I juice 1 grapefruit and 2 oranges, and I hoped this would make things easier. That is not the case. Neither the scrapers nor the container are as large as I had anticipated; br>br>* The scraper lid isn't attached to the container securely enough. The scraper pulp catch is so small that it fills up after only two oranges. br>br>* It keeps popping loose as I juice.
I can't believe how simple it was to squeeze every last drop of juice from lemons using this product; I've recently started making my own salad dressings, and having to squeeze the lemons by hand was both inconvenient and inefficient (not getting all of the juice out and having to fish the seeds out). It was actually enjoyable to use this product. It's strong and well-made, allowing you to squeeze every last drop of juice from these lemons. The best part was how simple and quick the cleaning process was. I would strongly advise!.
This method has worked well for me with lemons, limes, and oranges. I get a lot more juice than I would if I did it by hand, with the only drawback being storage. It's not going to fit in the utensil drawer. The orange and yellow pieces are difficult to align so that they can be stored next to each other. This has irritated me every time I've attempted to use it. Overall, it's a great solution. I could have probably gotten away with just using the orange and yellow parts. I don't think I'll ever use the measuring cup. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: Simply put, I'm a knucklehead. The orange/yellow pieces fit into slots on the cup's lip. They'll click into place in a specific order, with the orange on top. Now I'm not as frustrated. The measuring cup is convenient, but I could just as easily use a 2 cup glass measuring cup and ignore the orange/yellow parts. Only the orange one, most likely. br>br>Second Edit: To be honest, a reamer is all you need. I'm keeping my rating because it works well, but you could save some storage space if you don't use it.
If you only have one or two small citrus fruits to squeeze, this one will work fine, but if you have more, expect to be cleaning out the pulp after each one. Because the strainer slots are too small, a lot of the juice pools in the pulp after a short time and must be agitated to fall into the container below. Even then, it's not easy to get it through; You must continue to put in the effort. br>br>Also, aligning the strainer on the container is a bit of a pain. You'll need to take your time and carefully align them. br>br>In the end, I decided to return it and keep the Drizom citrus juicer instead. The Drizom is much nicer to use now that we have the benefit of hindsight and comparison. It doesn't clog as quickly (the cone, not just the strainer plate, has slots, so juice still falls into the container as the pulp accumulates). The shape is also more appealing — it's a little more substantial. The container isn't quite as large as the Oxo container, but to be honest, the Oxo container was excessively large.
I spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a reasonably priced and well-equipped a highly rated juicer capable of handling both small (lemons) and large (grapefruit) citrus This comes with two tops, one small and one large, so you can choose the one that best suits the fruit you're juicing. br>br>However, I recommended it to a friend, and when I checked the link, it appeared to be no longer available.
This is a nice product, especially for those who have dexterity issues (though it may not be suitable for those who have small hands). No mess. This is ideal for juicing a half-dozen lemons or limes. br>Of course, there will be some pulp left, so you may want to strain the juice again.
