I found very small print on the handle of my Skimmer that it is Swiss made, that is Switzerland. Mine has been used quite a bit and now makes a welcome addition to my kitchen tools. An ordinary dish scrubber can be used for cleaning it easily. My opinion is that this was a good purchase.
There was only one size of the skimmer I purchased. With a 10" handle, this 5" wide, 2" deep basket has a 2" deep bottom. While in use, the grip gets slippery and hot due to its smooth metal surface.
It has a diameter of about five inches and a depth of about one and a half inches. About 14 inches long, including the handle, is the length of the whole skimmer. grip I wish I'd purchased it.
I hope you have a good day. In my spider, the diameter is 5" and the depth is 2". There is a 10" long handle on this bag. There's something about metal handles that I find unpleasant. The size and the shape of the mould are perfect for macaroni and shaped pastas, but it gets too slippery and hot in use.

Using this spider, you can cut into very soft food a little because the wire can cut through the food. Food sticks to the handle, so it can get slippery when cooking. The handle is a cylinder of stainless steel that can get slippery when would have been nice if the handle had been shaped or had some texture to make it more grippable. But better still, it is a good length, sturdy enough to lift heavier items such as fried chicken, and the basket is deep enough to fit short pasta tubes. Overall, I'd give this product a thumbs up.
In addition to being super handy, easy to use, and easy to clean, the skimmer has a number of other advantages. To feed my co-workers, I make a lot of beef vegetable soup We have a pot that is easy to heat, so I feed it to my workers during the winter (we spend a lot of time patrolling in cold weather), which makes it handy for quick meals when we are pressed for time As much as possible, I have used the skimmer in my cooking during the short time I've had it. This is an excellent deal at a fair price.
I use a 15qt, but I think most people would want something about 9qt as shown here A lot of you will benefit from the purchase, so it's a worthwhile investment. Using the large skimmer again and again is a great idea! The oil is used after we dump a batch of chicken or fries into oil to keep the pieces from sticking together and to turn fish, chicken and other parts over during cooking to keep the color even. It's fantastic to be able to remove nearly all of the pieces in a batch from the oil all at once with this skimmer. For an oven with a capacity of 12+ qt, the larger size may be better for a 9 or 7 qt vessel. However, if you have a 9 or 7 qt oven, the smaller size will work better.
When they ask where it is made, they expect an answer. The label says "Made in China" on the handle, but it says "Swiss Design" on the handle. My sponge became snagged in the wire ends when I washed it when it arrived. I have used it for frying shrimp and it works well. In it are about 8 large shrimp that I stacked to drop into the oil, but I can only pick up about 3 shrimp at a time. Do you think I should have gotten the larger size? Otherwise, I like the sweater.
I was able to get it working the first time I used a towel to dry, but the wires got caught and I was unable to keep it in place. With a utensil costing this much, it shouldn't be that easy to break the handle.
The purchase has been a great experience for me.
It's awesome to have a skimmer like this! Following the reviews on the Cook's Illustrated website, I decided to purchase it. I was not disappointed. My first impression was that it would be very difficult to clean, but it was actually very simple to do if I used.
Although I found the skater to be nice, there were quite a few loose wires that I had to bend using a pair of pliers so I wouldn't tear my hands when washing them.
