The only thing I can confirm is that there are no plastic parts in this mechanism, but which parts are stainless I have no idea.

My cat has since run away. Despite being hesitant to write this review for two months, I finally got the courage to do it. My first experience with this thing is that I used it All it took was one use and too much torque from my weak hand for it to break. Construction made of metal and plastic is a no-no. I let it sit on my counter top for half a month, just slapping me in the face with its horribleness. While I worked on the other cans, I used a hammer to open them in the interim. As my cat has disappeared for over a month, I can only speculate whether this is due to the sadness she felt from me reflecting on why such awful products are made, and the environmental impact on goods that should only be purchased once and never again. I understand why Russians consider Americans If you don't want to lose a lifelong customer, Kitchen Aide (I am only planning on purchasing from you once, you know, that whole 1 time purchase thing, but now it is impossible to recommend you to any family with cats).
Don't do it! I ripped off the knob after the The quality is poor. I am very disappointed! It was not possible to open the cans without a set of vice grips. It's taking a long time for the Amazon Basics brand to arrive. There is a fit going on in our house because our KitchenAid is junk and that we have to use Vice grips on a can opener until the new one arrives her parents are here and it looks horrible my father (my mother's father) is angry at the situation. It seems the law enforcement officer (law) is continually complaining Thank you for your support.
In my opinion, manual can openers take up less space and are more convenient since there is only one As I see it, however, this one simply doesn't measure up. There is no way to get around the lid of the can with this can opener, like so many others. As a result, you have two spots where it will not cut, so you have to pry the can open with something and risk your hand getting cut. If I was going to pry the can open, I wouldn't have bought the can opener in the first place. In addition, if you are going to call it a "can opener", it should open a can as well. I now have to buy another one in hopes it works better than the first. The money spent on this was totally wasted.
This is a nearly perfect purchase! I am happy with it overall. Among the advantages Ergonomic handle that is comfortable to hold.
Inside the knob is an oversized mechanism that opens cans effortlessly. The cons are I didn't realize it until after I had purchased it that it was hand wash only. The entire item rusted after only being washed once by hand (no dishwasher).
Spend your money elsewhere if you wish to use A can opener I had previously bought broke after 4 months, so I purchased this one instead. I thought this one would be better built. It did not, Put a $40 bill in the trash along with this worthless garbage, then hold it down.
I'd been using a Swing Away can opener for over 20 years, so I thought it had reached the end of its life. It would be helpful to open cans with my arthritis-suffering hands if I bought a new Kitchen Aid. it, I found that it was hard to open cans and that I might want to consider purchasing an electric can opener since I'm getting old and weak. Since I was experiencing problems with my Kitchen Aid I chose to give my trusted old opener one last go. This is bliss! I cut the kitchen aid as if it were butter, while I cut the butter knife as if it were metal.
An alternative brand of can opener seemed to smush things rather than cut open cans. There was probably nothing much wrong with it it was just a little Unlike the other, this one cuts through cans without leaving the tag end attached, at least while it's still sharp and new. We had a bit more difficulty turning the lever than the other brand, but not so much that we were unable to finish. Our cat's wet food is opened every day with a can opener. But a can opener is less frequently used for canned food for humans. It will be interesting to see how this one does over time. I held the old and new opener up to each other to see whether I could see any noticeable design differences, and I found the cutting wheel and other bits of the old opener to be identical in size and overall design, only the levers and As such, I attribute the differences in cutting performance to the age and condition of the.
This one might be the worst I've ever owned. After about 4 cans of this, the mechanism to rotate the cutting blade has seized almost completely. I bought this to replace the previous model (which lasted me for multiple years). If you look at the pictures you may think that this is a heavy duty, non-electronic machine Cans of the usual size. That's not the case. These are pea cans. Despite my attempts at lubricating the mechanism, it still whines whenever I try to use any can. None of the can lids from the last four cans I used this on were properly cut. As a result, they remained connected in certain places. This was very disappointing for a product carrying a Kitchen Aid brand.
