The back of the product packaging attached to this muddler, underneath the UPC code, clearly states that it is "Made in China.".
Despite the fact that the package claims that this muddler is "Made of sturdy die-cast metal" It is cast in zinc. As can be seen from the photos, the interior of the box has a brushed stainless finish similar to a refrigerator or brushed stainless kitchen appliance.
It seems to work really well, but I wouldn't call it perfect

A great muddler with superb quality and an easy grip, but the sharp teeth on the bottom will make it hard to dig into any surfaces. If you want to crush sugar cubes and release a little oil from citrus skins, this is fine. However, it probably won't work for something like mint leaves, at least not "in the glass. " I have been making Caipirinhas a lot lately, and typically wind up juicing the limes separately when I make this drink -- I tend to use demerara sugar for this. Using a hand press is easier than using a muddler, which is a disappointment.
It is difficult to find a brand that will disappoint you like Oxo. After researching and comparing the wooden muddlers and the metal ones, I found the wooden one to be the best for me. In the end, I decided to go with a metal ring after reading several reviews on the web. As for my vote, I selected Oxo. The device has already been used to squeeze some orange slices and mint leaves to add to water several times. This is the first time the water has ever been flavored as much as it is now. The flavor you'll get for the extra $ will be better. This is a book I highly recommend.
My citrus and herbs muddled perfectly when I used this. There is a broad surface at both ends of the shaft that helps deliver energy to the appropriate location. An upright shaker can will comfortably fit in this length. A basil-type plant. A successful test was conducted with Lemontinis!.
Muddling mint leaves for mojitos could not be easier with this handy tool! The software is easy to use & it has a wide range of functions It would be better to wash this tool by hand, rather than put it on top of a drawer. The rubber coating and silicon are not put into a D/W because I am concerned that the dry heat will degrade the rubber/silicone. It's a nice handy product for our home bar. Thanks a lot.
The Oxo muddler is far superior to the wooden muddler that America's Test Kitchen recommends. I agree with others who say that the wooden one splits right away and won't last. Purchase the Oxo muddler instead!.
Would definitely Getting these out in the summer is a great way to prepare your While it is a little tricky to clean completely, it is not too much so that a star will be withdrawn. The gift I purchased for others would be purchased again.
In my opinion, this product embodies everything we like about a muddler it is easy to clean, very easy to use, and very easy to clean. There was a nice wooden one in the twenties and the thirties, but that was for another time. ls the modeler of the new era in my opinion. It is beautiful, clean, and very well suited to my trade. It cleans up very well and adds a lot to my arsenal of tools. If you are a bartender who is serious about your craft, or a mixologist as we call ourselves, I'd suggest getting yourself one of these mothers, because it makes all the difference.
A week goes by without us not using this tool. A minimum of 30 times the dish has gone through the dishwasher. In general, it has performed well so far and has stood up well to wear and tear.
