Selected User Reviews For Premium Waiters Corkscrew By Coutale Sommelier - Black Stainless Steel - French Patented Spring-Loaded Double Lever Wine Bottle Opener for Bartenders and Gifts
It appears to be well constructed, but only time will tell if this is the case. I got a double-decker Coutale Premium waiter's hat. Amazon has a lever corkscrew. So far, it has only been used once. The serrated foil cutter did the job, but it required more force and resulted in a jagged foil edge. It's not as nice as using a paring knife, but with practice, I'm sure I'll get better at it. Corkscrew did the job with a more "sure-footed" approach. It has a more "steady" feel than other lever screws I've encountered, but it isn't a night-and-day difference. The time difference is one day. It's impossible to deny the Teflon-like properties of this material. It wasn't any easier to put in a coated screw than it was to put in a non-coated screw; There was no damage to the cork. It appears to be well constructed, but only time will tell if this is the case. This review was prompted by the seller's offer of a second free corkscrew, but I would have written it regardless of the freebie.
My first encounter with the Coutale Premium Sommelier Double Lever Corkscrew was as a gift from a friend during a visit to the Kendall Jackson winery. I've been using this private label version at home for 5 years and it never fails to remove a cork from a bottle of wine; it's sturdy, well-made, and has a good full grip feel when pulling the cork. The screw is suitable for both natural and synthetic corks. The foil cutter is effective, but it has a tendency to rip the foil rather than cut it. I recently misplaced the corkscrew that came with my wine bag and was looking for a replacement that was similar to the one I have at home. Coutale makes the private label version I use at home, according to my research. I bought it without hesitation because I had used it for years. It's a well-made product that I'm looking forward to using for many years.
I was working as a bartender for an event, and my boss had this wine-and-cheese bar set up for me. the key to wine gear It easily screwed onto the cork, and pulling the cork out required very little effort. I looked it up right away and placed an order for one. It is slightly more expensive than other wine keys I have seen, but I believe that quality comes at a price.
In a restaurant, I work. We get corkscrews for free from wineries and other businesses, but I bought this one for myself and my wait staff to use on a daily basis. It lasts much longer than most and has all of the features needed to open a bottle of wine with ease.
The Coutale was next on my list of things to try. I like the double action of being able to pull the cork out half way and then finish the job with the lower part. It is a better opener than many similar-styled but poorly made competitors because the helix is not too fat, which tears up a dryer cork, and it seems to be able to handle composite corks just fine. For Christmas, I gave one to each of my children.
This is a fantastic way to open a bottle of wine. I've used a variety of styles (electric, for example), but I prefer the bartender style. I needed a new one and am glad I did. It's something I'd order again if the opportunity presented itself.
Years ago, I received an opener from this company and was heartbroken when it broke. I was overjoyed to discover that it was the same one! It fits perfectly in my hand without digging or pinching like traditional wine keys do, and it removes corks with ease. This opener is a dream for me because I open about 50 bottles a day at work. It's sturdy, well-made, and simple to use, and it'll last you years even if you use it a lot. It was well worth the money!.
I wasn't expecting this corkscrew to be any better than the high-quality ones I've previously purchased, but it is! It's a little bigger and heavier than I anticipated, and it's clumsier than I anticipated. It is a significant improvement. It's comfortable in my hand and allows me to apply as much twisting torque as I want. br>P O P! br>P O P! br>P O P! Thank you very much! br>br>br>br>br>br>b.
