It isn't spring-loaded, to be sure. When you use it, however, the action of pulling up on the corkscrew retracts the hinged part, which is very slick and effective. I work in a restaurant, and this is the best low-cost corkscrew I've ever used.
I'm not sure where it was made, but this (Coutale Sommelier) is the best corkscrew available. I have one at home, one in the car, and one in the camper.

All of our wine keys recently began to loosen and fall apart, primarily because the single rivet holding it all together became wobbly, and nothing worked properly after that. It's only a matter of time before you get a hand injury! And who wants that when they're about to open a lovely bottle of wine?! br>br>When I saw the rave reviews for this wine key, I thought to myself, "Enough is enough, I'm getting a good one!" 'This one is packaged in a simple but effective manner, with easy-to-access cardboard rather than a difficult-to-open plastic wrapper- To get around, use the rage bubble. The wine key is sleek and, dare I say, beautiful in appearance. It has a substantial feel to it but is not bulky or heavy. The worm is easy to pierce, and I like the 2-inch length. step 1: remove the cork! br>br>In general, this is a lovely addition to your bar service!.
This is a well-made corkscrew that does what it says it will. Auto- The retractable foil cutter is a clever idea. The corkscrew, on the other hand, feels too light in my hand. This, combined with the lack of packaging, fails to give the impression of a high-end product; you won't be disappointed, but you might be disappointed.
The first time I used this wine key, it was fantastic! The cork is easy to extract with a sharp knife and a straight, sturdy corkscrew. I had been using the same wine key for over a decade when it finally broke, and I needed a replacement right away. I quickly received my order and returned to my job of opening wine bottles for customers.
This corkscrew was purchased to replace a double lever corkscrew that I had for many years. This design was successful. The lever action is smooth and well-built. It works smoothly and consistently, without the risk of the cork breaking off at an awkward angle, as many single lever corkscrews do. I would strongly suggest it.
If you work in the wine industry, you'll undoubtedly appreciate this key as much as I do. Never buy a cheap corkscrew because it will fall apart, become loose, and bend. again. Just want to make sure it doesn't get stolen!.
Many corkscrews are too short to screw into and pull out of the cork without breaking it. Oh, no! br>And the quality for the price isn't bad either. br>With the double lever on this corkscrew, I can get a secure grip on that corkscrew and be quaffing in no time. Note that the action may appear awkward at first, but after a couple of bottles, you'll be a pro in no time. Cheers, Sante! Kampai!.
I'm a bartender/server who has owned and used far too many wine keys to count in the search for one that ticks all of the boxes. . . this wine key has put an end to my search!! Thank you for producing such a high-quality, long-lasting product!.
To begin, I should state that I placed an order for one of these over a year ago. It was ideal, but after a year in the wine industry, your wine key begins to show signs of wear and tear. So I went out and bought another. The package that arrived was not the same as the one that had been sent to me a year before. The worm's point was in an awkward position, and it was very thin. Something wasn't quite right when I screwed in my first cork. When I went to remove the cork, my arm didn't meet flush with my lip. Then the nail that held the worm in place slid out of place, preventing me from fully closing the wine key. I yanked it back into place and pretended everything was fine. I was sitting at the table, about to open my second bottle of the evening when it blew up. The nail flew out, the worm broke off and became stuck in the cork, and the interior metal rod snapped. I'm not sure what I got, but it wasn't the wine key I fell in love with a year ago.
