A quilted cotton lining runs the length of the jacket, with a 4-inch cotton cuff. Silicone makes up the rest. I haven't yet put the heat limits to the test. But they're a lot better than my silicone gloves that are straight.
The banneton is the only thing I would be cautious of. It can be used to raise most doughs with the linen cloth on, but it cannot be used to cook in. Both sourdough and yeast breads are baked in my kitchen. I use the tools interchangeably (the dough hook is fantastic and costs around $5 on its own), but I save the banneton for SD. The final rise is usually done in a pan in most yeast recipes. The oven mitts are fantastic, and would cost as much as the entire kit if purchased separately. The lame can be used to score French bread or any other type of bread. The bench knife, which is made of nice wood and stainless steel and can be used for anything, is also around $5. If you don't have them already, the silicon scraper and brush are excellent additions. It's a fantastic set! I bought three of them, one of which will be given as a present.

I was afraid I was going to get some junk and was hoping the basket would be suitable for sourdough. Everything in the package was fantastic, I must say. The gloves are longer and more protective of your forearms, as well as being of excellent quality. The basket was perfect, and I scored the bread with the lame (see photo). I already have a metal dough scraper that I like, but the metal dough scraper that came with the kit is a good backup. I like the plastic dough scraper a lot more than I expected to. Whisk the dough together. I really like it, and who doesn't want more silicone pastry brushes? I didn't use the cloth in the basket, but it appears to be a good alternative. I was looking for the basket's indentations. My bread was delicious. This is a kit that I would HIGHLY recommend!.
This is a great collection. The gloves are fantastic, and the banton basket is fantastic. The dough "hook," as I affectionately refer to it, is incredible. What a fantastic deal, especially considering the cost.
This set was recommended by a friend whose sister purchased it and highly recommends it for sourdough baking. I was under the impression that the banneton was small, but it is a true 10-pounder. inch wicker basket The lame is well-made, and the blade is razor-sharp enough to cut through dough with ease. I have the same oven mitts that I bought for $4. With so many items in the set, the price is so low that it's well worth picking up a few more as gifts for bread bakers.
I almost didn't want to order this set because it was so expensive. Could it be that all of these things were only $10 each? Yup. So far, everything has held up well in terms of durability, and everything functions as expected. I was looking for a "head" when I first saw the lame, and it confused me. It took two orders to realize that the "head" is the blade itself. Duh. The linen lining held its shape and size well after being washed and dried.
This baking utensil collection is quite extensive, with a large number of items of excellent quality. The cooking mitts are fantastic, as well as being extremely soft on the inside. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Products of excellent quality. I used a banneton to carve a design on my sourdough bread because it was a good size and had a sharp blade. When it comes to mixing dough, the bread whisk is an excellent tool. I adore everything about it. In addition, the price is reasonable.
I can't believe I only paid $14 for this set; it's of excellent quality! The over mitts on their own are worth $14! The linen liner is also very nice; it has no strange odor and has held up well in the wash. This is the kit to get if you want to make your own bread. I'm really pleased with how things have turned out.
I miss out on some baking opportunities because I lack the necessary equipment. I've acquired the necessary equipment. ☺️.
