This is what I use when I want to dab. It has a sleek appearance, an easy-to-pull trigger, an easily accessible locking button, and an easy-to-use interface. It's a nice touch to have a window with a view. It's simple to fill and pull the trigger; I haven't used it long enough to comment on butane usage, but it appears to be normal and not excessive; the only drawback for me is that the flame doesn't get very big, even when maxed out. However, it continues to function normally, so it isn't a major problem. It came with red attachments and a silicone brush, and the packaging was far more elegant than anything I'd seen before.
br>This torch aids in the preparation of the best crepes, which are always nice and golden, and I enjoy using it to finish my onions soup, especially when friends come over, as the presentation is excellent! This torch can also be used to make grilled cheese sandwiches.
I've never seen or held a small butane torch before, so I can't compare these to anything else. br>br>I bought two of them, one silver and one red, and I've been using them for a week now. Both filled easily and without any leaks due to design or manufacturing flaws (the one teeny tiny leak on the first fill was entirely due to operator technique). 20- I've used both quite a bit. The igniter hasn't failed or required more than one pull of the trigger in each of the 30 attempts. br>br>They're lightweight in the hand, comfortable to hold, and stable when I need to set them down - This is advantageous because, like any torch, the tip and the shielding around it heat up after a few minutes. br>br>I'm very happy with them and hope they will last a long time.
I used to make silver jewelry, and someone "assisted" me by throwing away about $300 in sterling silver and all of my tools! br>br>Because I don't have a lot of spare cash, I'm trying to replace the tools one by one. I saw one torch on Amazon that I liked, but it sold out in a matter of weeks, so I went looking for another and came across this. I bought it now because I was afraid it would sell out quickly as well. I'm glad I did, because this one has more features than the previous one, which was sold out. The fact that it turns on the gas and has a piezoelectric igniter that works at the same time is one of the features I like about it. The trigger is simple to use and effective. br>br>The gas is turned on by a button, so you don't have to hold anything. It will be much more user-friendly as a result of this. The flame can be adjusted using a control. br>br> This is also very simple to do and will be ideal for jewelry-making. metalsmithing, or any fine metalwork br>br>It's also one of the few torches that shows how much butane is inside. br>br>However, no other torch appears to have a safety piece that fits over the trigger and prevents it from accidentally turning on. br>br>As an added bonus, it has a cool "gear" look to it while remaining sleek and attractive. br>br>However, I won't be using it until I get a good fire extinguisher to keep on hand.
I used to use one of those cheap portable butane torch that you can buy on eBay, but I regret buying it because it was a pain to use. As a result, I decided to give it a try. The irony is that this one wasn't much more expensive than the one I purchased on eBay and had to wait forever for to arrive from China. This one, I must say, is far superior. It's incredibly simple to work with. You don't even have to keep holding the trigger because there's a lock function. I used it as a finishing touch on my creme brulee the other day, and it turned out beautifully. The only drawback, well, it's more of a wish than a drawback, is that I wish it could hold more butane. There's a line that says "Max," which indicates how much butane you can put in it. It fills up quickly and doesn't appear to hold a lot of stuff. It isn't a major issue, though. It's very simple to refill it (it only takes a couple of seconds).
This epoxy resin cup torch is fantastic!! It's simple to operate, and it usually turns on with just one click. I don't need to use the lock feature because holding the trigger doesn't hurt my hand; the only "issue" I have is that it never fills all the way to the maximum line; however, this isn't a big deal, and I'm not docking any stars for it. To achieve a glass-like finish, my company suggests using one of the larger camping torches. like shine, but I'm getting the same thing with this smaller, less-expensive one. Guy, you're quite frightening.
After reading my review, Semlos customer service (Judy) contacted me directly and offered to replace the item at no charge; I received the replacement within a few days, and they followed up to see if I was satisfied with the product; this has been by far the best customer service experience of my life; keep in mind that I did not initiate the call for replacement; it was all Semlos. I haven't tried the replacement yet, but I will buy from Semlos again because I trust their customer service. br>br>Noticed sudden splurges of flame during first use. After the first filling, the torch is still not empty, and the flame control dial on the side has stopped working. The volume is stuck at a low level. The product is not to be recommended.
UPDATE: I only use the lighter as a backup because it doesn't produce a very tall flame, even when set to the highest setting. I can fill it up, but not very much because it won't let me. It works for small jobs, but not much else, and I work with epoxy and craft, so that's what I do with my torches. br>Company issued a full refundbr>br>Won't completely fill up, and the flame has never been more than a few centimeters out. And that's with the flames set to their highest setting. This torch is suitable for occasional use but should not be used on a regular basis.
