I can't seem to find any information about where it was made. I still adore it; it's nice and heavy, and it complements my stove nicely. The flat rubberized bottom adds a nice finishing touch. It's something I'd be willing to pay money for. I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it You will not be disappointed if you do so.
I'm not sure, but we have a stainless steel stove that looks great on top and is quite heavy!

Larger utensils for stirring large pots are difficult to hold at about 6" long.
There is a lack of balance. Because the part where the handle rests weighs almost as much as the base, it tips back 9 times out of ten when a cooking utensil is placed in it.
This spoon rest is solid, heavy, and simple to clean. I'm glad I took a chance and bought it; I like the black color because it goes with everything else in my kitchen. br>I paid for this myself and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it.
I agree with Dan's March 10 review. This looks great, but anything heavier than a plastic spoon will cause it to topple. In my opinion, it is completely useless. I'm coming back.
THIS IS ADORABLE, BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S ACTUAL CAST IRON. Regardless, it holds my spoons and, because I'm not sure what it's made of, it looks cute on my counter next to my stove.
The angle on this one is peculiar. Because of the raised back, spoons do not rest on it. If that's what you mean. I use silicone utensils, which don't balance well because the spoon rest's arm is raised.
Unlike the ceramic one I'm replacing, it won't break.
This spoon rest is large enough to accommodate cooking utensils but small enough to accommodate a small spoon. Sturdy and heavy. It goes well with my cast iron cookware. Make plans to buy another!.
