Cooking is something I've always enjoyed, but I've never had a spoon rest. yes odd. Anyway, I came across this beauty and decided to order it because it matches the color scheme in my kitchen. As described, the basin portion is large enough to hold a wooden spoon or spatula. It's well-made and appears to be able to withstand the hand-washing I do. It's a nice color. It's not muted, and I think it looks better in person than in the picture when I bought it, possibly due to the glare of the glaze. I hope this information has been beneficial.
I searched for a long time for something lighter than stoneware, but nothing in Corelle piqued my interest. This is a weight that falls somewhere in the middle of the two options. The colors are vibrant, and I purchased the entire set, which is the first time in my 26 years of marriage that I have dinnerware that matches. *Until hubby breaks one" FYI, I was on a shopping spree at this point to complete the set. I like how big this spoon rest is.
