Based on the positive feedback from other customers, I decided to buy these meal prep containers for my dogs' raw food. They exceeded my expectations. They are the ideal size for my needs, seal well, and stack neatly. However, after loading up the freezer with 2 weeks' worth of food, I began to hear a loud *POP* every now and then. I assumed it was normal for the container plastic to contract when exposed to freezing temperatures for the first time, but when I took a few out of the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator, I noticed some of the lids had cracks. Then, while they were thawing in the fridge, I heard more *POP* noises and discovered that a couple of the bottoms had cracked and were leaking raw meat blood/juice all over the shelf they were on. I figured it was just a few bad ones in the batch, but it's happened to about 9 pieces now, so I'm throwing them out and replacing them with another brand. I can't say if they're dishwasher or microwave safe because I hand-washed mine and only used them to freeze prepared meals.
These containers were purchased in preparation for my trip to Guatemala. Over 200 children attend Bible lessons and then receive hot meals at three different locations each night. They're probably getting these as their only protein-rich meals every night. The part that breaks my heart is seeing so many children take two bites and then pour the rest into plastic baggies to take home to their families. Baggies will be replaced by these containers. When the four corners of the card are pressed, they snap better than most. They have a decent seal as well. We will be successful if they can get to Guatemala without breaking. The food portion is more flexible than I anticipated, but I'm hoping that this will make them less brittle and thus more likely to survive the TSA inspection.
However, because these were less expensive, I decided to take a chance. That was a huge blunder. They're fine for things that don't need to be microwaved, such as a work salad. However, I always get a plastic taste when I microwave something in one of these containers. That can't possibly be healthy. I'm not going to buy any more of these.
It's not really safe to use in the microwave, and it's very misleading. A note was found on top of the box when I opened it. "Microwave: 1; microwave oven: 2; microwave oven: 3; microwave oven: Oils, fats, and proteins have 30 second intervals. sugars 2. If you're looking for a microwave-friendly meal, skip these.
I like using them for freezing leftovers when I don't feel like cooking because the quality isn't as good as I had hoped and the microwave safety isn't as good as I had hoped. Before microwaving, simply place them on a plate.
It's fantastic; it's of excellent quality, and none of the pieces were broken when they arrived. I've never had a broken container, a broken light, or leaking liquid with this product, which I highly recommend. br>br>Of all the boxes I've tried in the past two years of meal prep, this is by far the best.

These are the absolute best containers to have on hand for packing leftovers for company and sending cookies to your neighbors during the holidays. I'm not going to be able to function without them. When my supply runs out, I reorder. . . My kitchen will never be without them again!.
These are what I use to prepare and package freezer meals for my son and his girlfriend. I mostly use them for things like my Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls knockoff (which saves them time and money on busy work mornings). They work great from freezer to microwave, and the fact that I don't get the containers back isn't a big deal at this price point. I've also kept a few for myself; leftovers go from fridge to microwave and hold up well after being washed in the dishwasher. These are something I would strongly suggest.
