Questions & Answers
The product was made in the USA, according to my memory.
The measurement I took was 5" It measured about 3 inches at the neck, but 3/4 at the very top. As long as the product is what I ordered, it should be all right.
My guess is that this is a vintage brown color. I love how vintage it looks.
There are six large eggs that we get every day, but the basket is not full in any way. I would say more than a dozen.

I have 5 chickens and a steep backyard, so I needed a rake and bucket to do the job. A basket like this is just what I need- I liked that it didn't cost too much and that it was rustic. handle is wooden and unfinished which is accompanied by a brown wire (almost black). The picture shows the size of the basket and the number of eggs it can hold, which for me is 54. You're the best!.
Since our pullets are only 10 weeks old, I will have to wait a while before I can use this basket in its intended way. In the meantime, it sits on our hearth with ceramic eggs so that later, when my chicks start laying eggs, I can use it. I really like the look of that place. Having looked at this basket, I was impressed with the quality of workmanship. Then I'll try to update it in a year, once it can be used for its intended purposes.
The basket I use to collect my eggs is my favorite! Besides being timeless and durable, they also make excellent decor pieces!.
The husband initially didn't want me to get this, but is now a big fan. He is getting more eggs each day than he can carry in his hands because we increased our free range chicken flock. With this wire basket, you can easily collect and store all the items you need. At the moment, we are processing 17 eggs per day but we still have room for more.
It is very sturdy, but is too hard for me to mash it back into its original shape because when I took it out of the box, it leaned. I'm pleased it is made from wire, but it's too tough for me to turn it right side up again. It has to be sent back and I have to wait for another one to be sent. The problems I face are only first world ones,.
The basket looks so cute with my farm fresh eggs sitting on the counter, and many of my friends comment about how cute it is. The decoration of a room. That is too cute for those of you who do not know why you do not have to refrigerate eggs. Most of my friends have no idea what I am talking about.
Earlier today, it was delivered. Although it is a little wonky shaped, it is cute and I guess it should be cheaper for the quality. I was surprised this is brown rather than another color. On a shelf, it will serve as a display. THE UPDATE IS The seller recognized the problem and offered me a replacement basket. 12/09/16 I contacted the seller about the wonky basket, and they agreed to do so. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that stands behind its product. It will be perfect when the replacement arrives.
The information I was searching for was exactly what I needed. The eggs were placed in the wire basket with the wooden eggs that I purchased (2 dozen) from Walmart. The piece was used as a centerpiece in my living room above my coffee table. Being a COVID, I hardly have visitors to my home, but those who saw it commented on how vintage it looked. They thought of early Easter decorations when they saw it.
