What if I need to take a 5 lb bag of flour with me?

A standard 5 pound bag of flour will fit in the largest of the four Canisters.

You don't need to put them in water the instructions explicitly state not to. All you need to do is wipe the inside out.

Does each of the canisters have airtight seals, and how large are they?

The containers are airtight, but I do not know their dimensions. There are so many screws in the lids you can barely remove them. Then, when you put the lid back on, you need to keep pushing it down until all the air has been exhausted and the lid will My favorite type of airtight is this, but I find this absurd. Trying to remove the lid so hard that I actually hit my head, I actually had to pull so hard to remove it. In addition, while I love the chalkboard labeling system, it is actually a nuisance to have to take the lid off the canister every time you want to change it. This is due to holding onto the canister and prying off the lid. Sometimes the label is erased by my clothes or by my hand.

I love the look of these, they are much larger than I thought they would be. The only thing I am not fond of is how some of the lockers are so tight I can hardly close and open them.
