Questions & Answers

If I wanted to hold all of the questions that have been asked and answered here more than once, what size jar would I need?

We've asked our team to start creating a new design for a bigger jar, since the one we have now isn't large enough

Approximately how many pounds of flour, sugar, etc. can be stored in 1, 11/2, and 2 gallon Montana containers with an ?

The volume of one gallon is slightly over 18 ounces. You will get 16 cups if five pounds of flour are equal to five cups. A pound of sugar is equal to seven cups of sugar. A pound of whole wheat flour equals four cups of flour. It's three times as much as brown sugar. There is a 3 cup per pound rule if loose, and a 2 cup rule for packaged. When packed, it would make 25 cups. The amount of powdered sugar in a pound is 4 cups. The rice grain has a number of The amount of coffee per pound is five cups. It is possible to go on and on, but I think you get my point. If you want to know how many cups of what you're feeding per pound, you should use a search engine. Type in "how many cups of (insert food here) per pound?". â**There are a number of websites that will tell you what to do.

A tight seal is there on the lid?

It is true. Sealing the mouth of the jar is accomplished with a silicone gasket that works similarly to a wine cork. You'll hear the air being drawn in slowly as you pull the lid up, and the air being pushed out in the opposite direction when you reverse the motion.

Dimensions of this container, including the diameter for the opening, are you able to provide?

An opening of 6 inches in diameter and a height of 9 1/2 inches are present in the container. Despite the fact that these are very good, I like them These scoops work very well for flour and sugar since the large opening makes scooping and measuring a breeze.

This is close, but it's not bug-proof
3/5

This set of canisters is really nice. The two problems I had led me to take off one star each, but I still bought another even though I knew about the first one already. On the first two of these, the lids were smelling sour with a very bad chemical smell. Although they were washed and allowed to air dry for two days, the smell was still present. to find that the underside of the metal was covered in a greasy residue. Getting rid of the smell was as simple as washing the parts separately, letting them air out, then washing them again. As for putting them back together, it doesn't take long, however, you need to be careful to get the handles There is a picture of the various parts I took while the lid was still apart.

The next issue is they aren't as bug proof as I thought they would be. Though I knew there is a small hole in the gasket, I did not think it was large enough for anything to actually pass Over the last six months, I've had two of them full of sugar and flour on my kitchen counter. The canister has been found to have ants in it even though the lid was securely fastened. I noticed this when I went into the kitchen this morning. The picture is not very good, but I included it nonetheless. While the lids aren't perfect, these canisters are made of a nice, heavy glass and the glass isn't that chipped to begin with. While I still recommend these to my clients, I will be sure to mention the two problems discussed previously.

Dry goods are well stored in this unit
4/5

Dry goods are well stored in this unit. This product loses one star because the ridge on the lid is not perfectly flat (I actually cut myself washing it) and the rubber seal on the lid is a little distorted so I have to twist it to have it sit flush with the lid. I think the product is a good one This picture shows the two as shown in the attached document. 10 lbs. in a gallon jar. Left is 1 cup of sugar and right is 1 cup of sugar. Five lbs of rock salt in a five gallon jar. To the right of the picture, there is a bag of flour.

This cookie jar is perfect! The 1
5/5

cookie jar has been on my wishlist since I purchased the other one. It was a great choice to order a 5 Gallon Montana Jar along with my review! The picture included in my review shows it with almost 9 dozen cookies in it (cookies made with a standard sized cookie scoop). It seals well so the cookies stay fresh I like the look of it on my counter top as well! Purchasing more will be a good idea! Thank you for reading this review. I was pleased with the overall result, however, the lid is extremely sharp and can actually It is a thick glass jar that is sturdy and durable
4/5

1 out of 5 is good. These are a 5 Gallon size and larger than I expected even after reading the reviews and seeing For my needs, it would have been better to choose the next size down. I'm taking off a star because the bottom of the lid is sharp and I'm not comfortable using it. In reality, it is deceptively simple. Some folks have left reviews on here claiming that they cut themselves during the washing process. As I looked at my lids when I got them, I did not consider them to be However, sure enough, when I was washing them, my finger slips across the edge of the lid and I get cut just You should be careful when washing and handling a Although I might try to smooth the edges a bit with my Dremel, I won't let it stop me from using them.

It's a nice jar, but remember to reassemble the lid carefully so that it preserves its airtightness A tight feeling
5/5

The flour I use for my family's flour tortillas is quite often in this big glass jar that I bought to store it. It was important to me to have an air-conditioning unit Keeping the freshness of the produce and keeping the bugs out requires a tight glass container. A subtle "swish" sound is heard when the air is closed on this jar, and it is very pleasing to hear. The lid should be tightly closed. I had to wash the lid until after I washed it. After disassembling the parts and washing it by hand, I put back together, but when I tried to use it, the air was too dry The tightness was gone, and I was left with a loose lid and a silicon seal that had no function. There were some Q&As in the document I searched the Internet for instructions on how to reassemble the lid, but I could not find any. It took a while for me to notice the grooves in the round part that holds the knob in place when I was ready to throw it out. This is a sort of "track" that holds top the silicone gasket. My fingers made swish noises as I carefully positioned the gasket inside the tracks, placed the lid on the jar and placed the gasket inside. Successful completion of the mission! Wash your lid carefully before you put it back on. Here is a picture of how it looks when it is assembled before it is taken apart. I enclose it in case other people are in the same position. It is a nice jar, yes. You shouldn't hesitate to invest in it.

This kit is great for beginners! It is wonderful to see these
5/5

Perfect! I have been looking for something like this for so long. There's no better way to dress than with this three-piece set. It's important to know what size you need, especially if you're in the process of deciding what size to buy. The struggle of choosing a size is well known to me. Weight is the unit of measurement for both ingredients and these items. The weight of different materials may also vary because different ingredients may weigh the same but differ in volume. The use of it for something else is never a barrier to getting bigger sizes, even if it is too small for the job. Bulk items save us money we prefer to buy them in bulk. They needed to be stored in glass containers Getting rid of plastics and BPA would eliminate all concerns. You should maintain a good seal to keep food fresh. You can still look great while doing it. There are a lot of large containers out there, but it's hard finding one. Only containers with the largest sizes can hold more than 5 pounds. Glass jars are going to hold everything we plan to store. It would have been nice if they were all the same color, but this deal was too good to pass up. Although they are different from each other, they still look good. The sizes of the images can be seen on the images. Standard cans were placed next to them so I could compare them visually. The first picture shows A 64 oz black jar is the outer jar and a 64 oz silver jar is the inner jar. The smaller one is the 48 oz and the larger one is the 96 oz. The second image shows In Part 2, we discuss It was the 5 gallon size. We put a 30 lb of rice in that and the remaining rice went into the small 48oz. We had some rice left over. There is a 1 next to it. It has a capacity of 5 gallons. Almost all of the 10 lb of sugar will fit in our mason jars, and what's left over will fill a second one. The same size is also used for the 10lb bags of flour that we sell. The maximum weight we can put in is 9lbs. We're talking about 96oz of brown sugar here. My bag was warehouse size (it was the one we used for the warehouse), but we put as much as we could in there. Rolling the leftovers up, taping them closed and putting them in a storage container in the closet, we then put them away. Keeping a glass jar handy when shopping is also a great idea. By looking at the shelf, it is easy to determine what needs to be replaced. Moreover, the opening is large enough to fit a 1 cup scoop without requiring any awkward turns or angles, and prevents items from spilling out.

About 9 lbs of flour can be put in the bag
5/5

A 9 lb bag of flour is probably enough for it. See my photo of the finished product after one 5 pound bag was pumped in.
